Hi everybody,

if I promote a product as an affiliate and I make a sale but the guy who bought asks the seller for a refund. What happens then ? Will my comission be cancelled or will I keep my comission ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for you answer. It really sucks that you can't keep your commision. But if the buyer wait like 2 weeks and you already recieved your clickbank money do you still have to give it back ?

It sucks that you can't keep your commission? Ummm... So, the seller is supposed to pay affiliates out of their own pocket for sales that could, quite easily, be fraudulent orders, designed to get a commission and then refund?

Or pay for sales that refunded because the affiliate somehow created a false impression on the part of buyers, possibly even suggesting that they ask for a refund if the product doesn't [whatever]?

Ummm... No. That's business. A refunded order is no longer a sale. No sale, no money.

deanfz - just read clickbank's terms. They hold back 10% (and it can go higher if refund rate is high). They do not pay affiliates the entire amount every two weeks. So you always have a pile of your money held by Clickbank to cover this sort of thing. They hold for 90 days.
