PLR Vs. Outsource Articles Quality?

Hi,

I want to have the good quality of articles (Not using for SEO), so which one is better in term of information & quality between PLR Articles and Outsource Articles?

1). Outsource Articles: I'm saying about the articles written by $1 or $2 per 100 words writers.
2). PLR Articles: The articles from various popular and reputed places.

[1 Vs. 2]

Literally, I want to compare the 2 of above choices. I can't write articles myself because I'm not good it at all even worst.

Which one of the among them has better quality generally? I know it depends but the majority of time which one has the more quality?

Again, I'm not using them for SEO purpose but to provide information and knowledge.

Thanks!

If you are using your articles to create a newsletter, plr articles will be fine... if they provide solid information AND if not too many other people are using them.

If you plan to use them on your website, unique articles that are written for you alone will work better. Why? Well in my view, having unique content on your website will help you build a better online reputation than plr that is probably being used by other people as well.

In the final analysis, for the sake of originality, I would prefer outsourcing articles if I were in your shoes.

    All the best

Hmm -- this depends on the quality of the PLR you find. In general, high-quality PLR will be better than $5 to $10 articles, since it sounds like that's the price range you'd be seeking in terms of original content. Of course, you have to rewrite or otherwise make unique anything you use in terms of PLR.

One solution might be to buy high-quality PLR (not the same junky "100,000 article pack" that floats around), then get a great writer to rewrite/edit it until it's unique and useful. Some writers charge lower rates for this kind of work, so you may be able to find a good writer who can do it.

Probably the best option for you is to find high quality PLR articles (lots of places where you can find good free PLR articles online, use G00gle to search). And then change at least 1 or 2 words in each sentence, by using synonyms.

The jeopardy is that one can manufacture onerous, stiff sentences by aimlessly using a thesaurus.
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8383953].message }}
  • Out of those two options, choose the PLR articles. You can get high-quality PLR articles for a fairly low price. Post them as-is, or pay someone to MANUALLY re-write them. Though to get a good quality re-write, you'll still need to pay more than the $2 per 100 words in your original budget so that might not be an option.

Bottom line is, choose option 3) None of the above. You can't afford the quality you'll need so work on another project until you've built up enough money to do this one right.

    Good luck!

I'd go with original content for your site, so getting articles written is a must. You want uniqueness...
Only thing, you need to find a really good article writer and spend some money on each article. $3-$5 articles are usually written by non-native English speakers and have weird sentences etc. Pay more for uniquely written articles! You might even try oDesk and pick someone in America, UK or Australia and pay them $10-$20 per article. You'll be better off in the long run.

If you have a writer you trust that charges $1-2 per 100 words I would go with them, otherwise I would go with the PLR articles and just make sure they are rewritten or spun first.

Chances are you probably hate to write. I find it fun and easy. Even if you can't write I bet you have a good article inside of you just waiting to jump out onto your virtual screen.

Just do a little "nichearch" once you found a topic to write about.

When it comes to buying articles

If you can't afford a quality article writer at 10,20 or 30 dollars, then I would purchase PLR. I would use Tiffany Lambert or easy plr, they both have proven track record in the industry. There are many other good ones out there though.

Since you're not doing SEO, I'd say find a good PLR provider. You might want to check out Tiffany Lambert's (used to be Dow) PLR Mini Mart (.)com. She's really ethical and knowledgeable (background in journalism, years of experience writing for the online world) and has stuff available in tons and tons of niches. During the month of August, she is putting out a bunch of new content.

    Good luck,

Wow! All are great recommendation and suggestion (can't see Thanks button).

As I stated, I don't want uniqueness but I want quality of information of the article over uniqueness. That's why I asked about PLR and $5 or $10/500 words articles.

BTW, would anyone suggests me good, reputable, qualified, and information rich PLR article places in any niches? There're tons of them out there so it's hard to decide and choose.

    Thanks everyone!

Well I like to give my VA's something to work with. So I sort of do a combination of both. I give them articles I have not necessarily plr but could be then I have them do rewrites, I would never go with a plain plr though, I may edit one very hard but usually costs me more in the end and its hard to find really good plr anyways.

Why not just re-write the PLR articles?

You want high quality... In that case you have to pay more for quality. So my order of choices would be

        1.High Quality Original Articles
2.Rewrite High Quality PLR Articles (Not Free PLR)

Outsource rewriting, since you mentioned, you don't want to write.

Do you know it is probably hardest to rewrite a great article and get it to pass copyscape than to write an original article and get it to pass.

    1. It's expensive to get great quality plr.
    2. Its time consuming to write check rewrite check ect.
    3. You pay a nickle everytime you check copyscape on the rewrite where an original you know will pass.

There are many people who offer inexpensive plr articles that can be used either as they are or rewritten to make them unique. You may find that rewriting the first and last paragraph is relatively easy even if your English is not that good. Otherwise there are plenty of professionals out there who can do it for you.

If it is to be placed on my own website, I will use unique content so that it will look nice from the Search Engine point of view. But if it is sending newsletter to the subscribers, I do not mind sharing it with them if it does contain good content. I think the best is to still edit the PLR content so that it will suits your own style.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8387693].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author hustlinsmoke
Rewriting the first and last paragraph will not do it for google. It would still be probably over 75 percent duplicate content.

Stick with Jason, Unique Content will work best.

To test that if you want, give me an article any article even a three paragraph article, I will delete change the first and last paragraphs and put it through copy scape, I will even pay for it.

PLR, definitely. Just check for quality.

Since you say you're not using them for SEO, duplication should be no issue for you. It's only an issue if you're claiming you wrote something easily found elsewhere.

In this case, PLR can deliver exactly the same results as the vaunted Original Article. So why overpay? People sometimes just want an answer and not a guru.

PLR is smart money when you know how to use it.

There are so many places to get quality PLR articles. If you plan on using them for your personal site, then I highly recommend that you use original content.

Even if you don't consider yourself a great writer, you can easily outsource here on the Warrior Forum.

For quality articles you should expect to pay about $5.00 for a 100 word article. I have personally outsourced several here on the Forum.

Uhh, I don't even know, what I would do. Probably, with decent budget, I'd outsource. That's because letting the articles be written, you will get unique material for sure and in most cases (read: if paid enough) good quality and information too.

With small budget, PLR articles are good source to get ideas and write stuff by yourself. Yes, you told that you're horrible in this- said by who?!

People above have compared these two options for you, but I want to say: Try to write some articles by yourself. If you got PLR's, take some, try to rewrite them. I was a bad writer too for a year or so ago. But I find that writing things by yourself gives you a clear advantage over your content's quality. Plus, it gives your stuff a clear "fingerprint" that makes you stand out from others.

I know, it may sound hard or even harsh, but really, try it Practice writing and you will get better at this. It may take some time, but really, if you can create the critical parts for your site, newsletter, sales letters, sales e-mails or whatever, it will pay off.

My one and a half cents

For SEO outsource your content. But look for experienced writers with good referrals (they are there), not the ones who write 500 words for 1$.

I recommend you go with the writers. That's a decent rate for writer, especially offshore like in the Philippines or India. You can also look for SEO resellers in your area and ask about content subscription. You'll basically "subscribe" monthly and get content you need for your site. This may be a pit pricier compared to your current two options but if you want originality, this one's a great option.

Well, if you are not worried about google penalties and if you are not going to use the PLR for your website but rather a newsletter or something similar PLR would be a smart choice. You can find great PLR articles for a reasonable price if you know where to look. If I was you I would search through this forum for a decent writer and then visit their website and see if they are selling any PLR articles.

I don't think it is necessary to rewrite the PLR if you are going to use it for newsletters.

Of course, if you need the articles for your websites, I recommend hiring a writer to write original content. PLR can work for websites but you need to rewrite it.

    I hope my 0.02$ helped.

    Keep at it!

Unless, you are a writer then original content is better. Just remember if you purchase original content from more than one writer you will find each one has their own style.

Find one writer or a team whose style fits closest to who you are. After all they are representing you.

Another thing, you may consider recording yourself and having your content transcribed (may cost you less). Then you can make your recordings available as a podcast and have the written content on your site as well. This may also serve as a way to drive traffic to your site should you publish your podcast on iTunes.

Yeah, totally agree. Recording yourself and getting someone to transcribe and turn into an article is indeed the best way (if what you are promoting is your own stuff or stuff that you're knowledgeable about).
The cost is higher though but it's worth it.
What you can also do is get Dragon Naturally Speaking and speak into it. This software is amazing and it will transcribe everything you say with extreme accuracy. Then you can give the transcript to an editor. This way you save on the transcription and only have to pay for editing.
