Hello,

I am willing to sell some of my domains. I know about Flippa and SEDO but I am looking for those sites that are free to post listing and charge their commission from the percentage of sales. I need your help. Please tell me URL if you know such sites.

Thank You

^^^ Very helpful post from Nathan.

Nitesh, the huge mistake that people typically make, in disposing of domain-names, is approaching it as a question of "Where should I sell it?" For most domain-names, the answer to that question is "It doesn't matter": what matters is how you go about notifying the potentially interested parties (to whom it may have artificial "value") of its availability and negotiating with them. If they don't even know that it's for sale, then it makes no difference where the sale takes place.

What they're "worth" depends on what you can sell them for. And I mean "what you can sell them for". The amount of money they produce, on sale, depends on the skills of the person selling them at identifying, approaching and negotiating with potentially interested parties.

Here's the truth (which almost nobody likes hearing, and some even try to deny): domain-names have no real value above and beyond their registration-fees. It's easily possible that an individual domain-name can be worth ten times as much to one vendor as to another. That's normal, not exceptional.

Money has no real value above and beyond the paper it is printed on. Why state the obvious???

As far as selling domains, go to the main places for auctions or get creative and find likely buyers from those already in the respective niche.

Because evidently, to many people here, it's far from obvious.

In the Warrior Forum, the prevalent beliefs about selling domain-names (among those who don't do any domaining as part of their livings) are that domain-names have some kind of "real, objective value" and that if you want to sell them, where you choose to do so is the most significant factor in what you stand to make from them.

It does actually help some people to try to dispel both of these silly myths.

I also know of Flippa as the main domain sales site.
You can also check out with Digital Point forum where you can place your domains for sale.
