Hey guys, I was supposed to be on a conference call with the folks at clickbank this morning where I was to show them the one-click upsell process and exactly the functionality we'd want them to add. Well, I have strep throat so I postponed the call for this Friday and am hoping I can talk then :-)

This could be a VERY VERY big thing for those of us that use Clickbank.
What I'm going to do is record a short screen cam video showing the one-click upsell process that's used by some of the guys that currently use it really well with their own carts.

Question is, are there any specific products that you could point me to that use it well? I know Mike F and Russell B use it well, but are there any others that use it more effectively?

This could be insanely big for anyone
who's currently a clickbank vendor,
or planning to be...

Not sure of anyone who uses it better
than Mike F, though.

Must say I'm very pleased to hear of
Clickbank taking the time to listen to
some of use marketers. Sometimes I
get the impression their decisions about
certain things are more knee-jerk than
anything else.

Still, not like I'm in their loop, so who's
to say I'm right?

  Hi Mary, 1 click upsells work after the initial checkout. User sees sales letter. User inputs cc info and buys. User is shown another offer where they can "add to their original order" by simply clicking a "yes button" OR they can decline by clicking the "no button". User only inputs their cc info once... that very first time.

Ann Sieg did it on her latest launch a few weeks ago and it worked out great, also I think Anik does it (they are releasing that launch tree product right now) so he would probably have some insight.

Excellent news. I hope they can implement the whole process seamlessly so there's almost no "friction" through the payment process. That's always being my beef with OTOs, upsells, etc: they kind of aggravate the check out process customer-wise.

I would definitely like to see 1-click upsell integration with multi-product monthly membership sites. We would need it to support monthly recurring billing as well as fixed time period (recurring monthly for 12 months).

We have a Wordpress driven site running the awesome (& cheap - $50!) membership site plugin from the dudes at CNMS. Integrates perfectly with Clickbank as well as of course paypal.

But from day 1, I was racking my brain on how to do upsells effectively. Particularly wanted the 1click upsell. Brad, if there's anything I can do to help them get that going, I'd be glad to set aside a few hours a week to help with coding or testing.

Keep us updated on how that turns out!

This is great!!!

One question.... what exactly is ClickBank planning to do with OTO / 1 click upsell as far as down selling (not sure if I'm using the proper terminology here).

What I mean is what if you offer a OTO for say $97 and the customer says no thanks.... is that as far as CB will let this new feature go or will they be integrating a down sell where you can go to the next page and say something like...

"ok so $97 might be too much or not what you need... we have a lighter version for $47...."

A Butterfly Marketing type of script

Is this what you will be talking to CB about... and if not perhaps you could try and get them to integrate that.

I strongly believe that this will help everyone involved increase revenue, from merchants and affiliates, to ClickBank themselves.

I hope you can mention this to them and hope that CB is reading this thread.

I'll be creating my first info product this week as well as other products and using clickbank. Would make the sales funnel process easier.

I hope it will be smooth for both vendor and customer during checkout process.

  I did about $300k through clickbank last year and was thinking about going with a merchant account because I want some more functionality like 1 click upsells. So if it is going to be added soon then I'm really interested, but if it gonna take a while then I think I'll have to go with a different service.

News about clickbank 1 click upsell (it's not available yet):

"The commission percent on the upsell may be different from the original sale, but currently only by using a different account on the upsell. Very soon we'll offer an upsell commission on a per-product basis so that you may leverage products from your existing account but with a different commission when that product is used in an upsell."

Looks like a proper shoppping cart is coming :-)

  You fill in your billing information to buy a product, you're taken to a page where you're presented with the upsell, you click yes or no to the upsell and it's either purchase or it's not (depending on your choice).
  
  Basically eliminates the need to enter payment details a second time, which is said to increase sales of the upsell.

Hate to be name-dropping, but was speaking with the VP of CB on Monday, and he said that this is already live on a limited basis. Basically, it allows up to 5 upsells and downsells after the original purchase which can all be 1-click.

Their main concern at this point and probably why it will never be on general release is because of the increase of chargebacks.

If you want to use it within your cart, then you can get in touch with customer support and they will assess it on a case-by-case basis. It is likely that you will only be allowed to use it if you have a great reputation with them and a low refund rate.

Don't shoot the messenger, but that's what he said. Will try and answer any questions if I missed something out...

Go check out Jermaine Griggs. He is a master at the one click upsell.

You can find his stuff at Online Piano Lessons: Music courses, Music Lessons, And Piano By Ear Resources

He integrates it with one shopping cart and does it very well. Actually, he is probably the first person that I seen using the one click upsell process. Actually, I think he is the first person I heard teaching the one click up sell process.

Anyway, he is a master at this stuff so you should check him out.
