Anyone having problem "No Data Received" error in Godaddy Hosting?

Hi there,

I am facing No data received error for my site after moving my site on Godaddy. It is really frustrating. The support is saying everything is good but I hardly can work on my site or view my site. I am really frustrate. So here is my questions....

1. If I upgrade my hosting will it solved?
2. Do you recommende any other hosting or specific hosting plan?

Thanks in advance.

  • Seems to be a common error. I moved away from Godaddy hosting since we had 100's of urls, and Godaddy only let's you host one domain per host for which you pay monthly. Consider moving to Hostgator or similar and host your sites there. At least you won't have those types of errors, plus for one monthly payment you can host as many sites. Also I prefer cpanel over Godaddy's system as it is a pain to use.

  • We use Hostgator for our main sites. You may not need to move from Godaddy as your issue is probably fixable, however you will have to decide that for yourself based on your experiences with site errors and customer service etc, as to whether its worth moving one more time.

It loads here, albeit a little slowly. It could be due to overloaded servers?

Sorry to hear you are having some issues. I see you had a ticket open with us a few days ago and we asked for some additional troubleshooting steps on your side. Did you complete those? If so can you reply? Also in the ticket please include a traceroute and any other applicable info you may have. Thanks. ^Colby GoDaddy Social Media Team

        Hi,

I am glad to say that you are trying to fix it and I also replied to you with all info that you asked me.

I had moved my site as it was on Godaddy to Hostgator and I am not facing problem with no data received problem any more.

        My diagnosis about this issue:
Godaddy was telling this might be a Plugin or theme issue. But when I moved my site to hostgator I did not receive any problem with viewing my site. Also when my site were on Rackspace i did not receive such problem. So it was obviously the problem with Godaddy.

I believe when a site receive more than 10,000 impression Godaddy shared hosting can not handle that site and after few minutes the server goes down. So I split my sites into few hosting services.

I hope within next few month I will get cloud service for my site as I am getting good amount of visitors. But surely I will not host any big sites on Godaddy as I had experienced that as a hosting Godaddy can not handle big sites.

Their support were really good, they tried to fix the problem but I think they were not even aware why it was happening as I asked them why it was happening. They just told me they are checking it.

I just passed a very bad time when I saw my site was down and the support were telling me it is okay on their end. I also checked their own forum and a lot of people were telling about same problem like mine.

Honestly, you'd be better off moving to a new host. It looks like when I click links on your site, I get a HostGator 404 page - did you recently move the site? It doesn't appear to be hosted at GoDaddy anymore...maybe. 404 page shows HG & the site goes back to Unified Layer - BlueHost.

Yea, I just noticed the links are working now. It's still a bit sluggish though, especially when I click the store link. At least from my end it's sluggish - I'm on a 100X100 connection, so I doubt it's that.

Just don't use it, it really is terrible. It does not even use cPanel.
