Is there a demand for reports?

Hey guys, i finally figured out what i want to do. I tried really lots of things - article marketing: failed because i hated to write 100 articles on the same keyword over and over again. Website flipping: moderate success (a couple hundred dollars) but not something i would like to to for the rest of my life. Creating affiliate websites for others: moderate success (a few hundred dollars) but too similar to normal website flipping (i sold affiliate websites). I looked into domain flipping but figured out that it is another kind of offline marketing, and i didn't tried hard enough in offline marketing to make any more there.

I would like to follow the way of "oldschool" internetmarketing - product creation. I have a very odd habit - every time i want to understand something better i write a few pages (a short report, if you want) on that specific issue and imagine i teach someone else about it, in this way i research everything and through the writing i can learn that stuff very good. Must be my kind of learning type... Plus i can use the resulting document to look something up in case i missed something ^_^

However, my sales copy is non existent. On the other hand i loved the service-aspect of my website creation business. So figured out that maybe the way to go is to create short reports, like 10-15 pages (pure content without index or graphics) and sell the ODT (open office) file for around $100 (only once of course). I would post a thread in the Warrior For Hire section then, but i am not sure if the demand is big enough that i could write 2 of them per week (i still have to do proper research and everything...)?

What do you think about the plan? Would YOU use my service?

I might purchase a report to re-sell -- it would depend on the subject and quality, of course. I think you'd have to post a single free example to show people how well you write and describe things. But, if I could get a report for $100 that was in a subject I could re-sell to, I might take a shot at it.

Thing is you'd do way better if you wrote the short reports and sold them yourself. Copywriting can be improved just by getting in the trenches and practicing.

You need to setup a system for success because by your post it seems you get distracted easily. Don't worry, I had the same problem years ago and I overcame it...

I use a notepad and take it everywhere I go, in my pocket and write down ideas I get for short reports. You'd be surprised how many times you think of a killer idea and it will be lost if you don't write it down immediately.

Why would YOU write? There are plenty of people doing this for you relatively cheap...

Occasionally i write myself...but for bigger orders i have my people
