What's the best ebook delivery service?

My client wants to gift business ebooks to his clients, who are on different platforms (Kindle, Google Play, etc.). Which service lets you do that? Can the ebooks be delivered over email?

    If you have enough bandwidth, your own server is a good place to host e-books. Otherwise services like Amazon s3 are reliable and inexpensive. You can put a download link to a file in any format in an e-mail, so linking to the files would be the best way to go IMHO.

    Host the book in a folder on your domain, link it to a download page and have PayPal direct to that page upon payment.

      Let me just add a little to what Troy said. You may are using a WordPress-based website, you may use the WP Shopping Cart plugin where you can set your Download Page to the Return URL setting of this plugin. This is the URL the customer will be redirected to after a successful payment.

    WP Shopping Cart plugin is good, but its price is too high. Is there any other way to do this without spending too much money?

    Def host it on your hosting, ebooks are pretty small in size after they are zipped up.

    If you are selling them you can just create Paypal buttons on your site and when they check out they can get them off your site with the paypal re-direct URL. Need more then a personal account (one step higher) for this.

    For the location of the ebooks on your webhost just need to make it hidden from causal surfers and search engines by building a certain directory structure.

    I didn't phrase it quite right.

    I don't want to sell my own ebook. I'd like to gift ebooks that are available on Amazon, Google Play Store, Kindle, Kobo, etc. Livrada is one service that lets you gift ebooks. But they charge $500 for a webhook integration, which I don't want to spend at the moment. Please suggest some alternatives.
