Is work from home PLR's money makers

So for the past 10 years I have started a few home based businesses and did things like working as a call center agent from home and mystery shopping. I am starting a blog based on work from home opportunities and I am thinking of even putting out a few PLR products based on this.

My problem is that I am not finding many PLR products that focus on the work from home market. Is this something that is just a cold market or am I not looking in the right places?

Have you tried The PLR Store? Or Master-Resell-Rights dot com dot lk?
I would be happy to guest blog on your site. PM me if you would like to talk about that.
    All the best!

Thanks Carlamae, once I get my blog going I may take you up on that!

Gail, I may have misspoken...I am looking to actually create a few PLR articles that I can sell the rights to, not purchase and relabel once I have bought. I just don't want to spend the time creating these products and then find out that there isn't really a market for them. So, I am trying to do research now to see if there is a market or if it is something I am better just creating a book and selling it on amazon instead of a whole PLR package to sell to affiliates.

As a PLR producer I will caution you to use the product to YOUR advantage. That means personalizing the content, adding your voice, making changes, don't use the graphics provided, make changes to any sales pages.

In other words, don't just put up what you buy. Read it, edit it and make changes. You want the people who purchase from you to come back again and again- and they won't do that if they can find the same content at Master-Resale-Rights.com. One of my favorite things to do is to look at the long list of bonuses that marketers give away with their information product and find the exact graphic and description at some of the larger PLR producers.

Don't make that mistake - kills your reputation. And too much of the PLR produced today is just plain fluff and nonsense. Read it, edit it and make changes!

PLR = Private Label Rights : You can buy articles or books online that have PLR rights and then depending on what rights come with the materials you can change things like the authors name to your own, the titles on the materials, images, etc. And then you can resell the product as your own for a profit.

LOL! Thanks for explaining what PLR is (BTW, I'm just amazed something like this exists) but now I need you to tell me what mystery shopping is!

There are companies out there that contract with stores (ex: Starbucks) to do evaluations on the stores performance. These companies have contractors all around the country that work for them as mystery shoppers. So, when Starbucks says I want my store in NYC evaluated, the Mystery Shop company calls it's contractor in NYC and tells them to do an evaluation.

The evaluation may consist of you going to the store and looking around to see how clean it is, how long it takes to be served, the quality of the food, are the employees wearing their uniforms right, etc. You never tell anyone in the store that you are doing the shop (hence the secrecy).

Then when you are done you go home, fill out an evaluation, submit it to the mystery shop company who then submits it to the store.

There are other types of shops as well such as reveal shops (you do a mystery shop and then go back in and reveal who you are...I had one where I was sent a bunch of gift cards and depending on how well the store did I had to go back in and review my shop and then give out cards to anyone who performed well). There are also shops where you go in and tell them who you are and what you need to do (Such as theater checks where you go on and check to make sure that the previews on movies are where they should be...these are usually for clients like FOX who wants to make sure their previews are on the movies they are paying for them to be on).

I would put together an e-book and sell it. Perhaps clickbank would be a good way to build sales.

I also have a work from home site and I don't have PLR on it but I can tell you it is hard to find quality products that offer genuine value to consumers in the work from home market. Unfortunately, there are a lot of scams out there and that is where the money is. It is also tougher to sell to than other crowds without building trust unless you are offering pie in the sky schemes. You may want to consider developing your own products.

That is what I am doing...I'm branding myself as an expert in the field of "work from home" by building my blog and talking about various work from home opportunities. Then I am going to personally develop the e-books and materials that I want to do as PLR's. However, after talking to my coach this morning I am thinking of selling my products first and then later on making them into PLR products.

I am an expert on work from home and my books and work from home website were recently featured in a national magazine So let me save you a lot of time. There is not a lot of money to be made writing about legit work from home opportunities on a blog. Where do you make your money talking about mystery shopping or working for a call center for example?

The money I make from my sites had come from the products I offer. I have sold thousands of copies of my products. And the reason they sell is because I have built trust with a my readers and they offer genuine value.

  • The general work at home topic is extremely popular to the point of saturation. However products available in this niche usually lack substance and quality in my opinion. I've seen PLR eBooks and articles written on this topic but the content is nothing I would use if I were to create a work at home product. It's easy to tell that it's all Google research but not written from personal experience. If you have actual work at home experience, you should create a product around your own story, not the general bla bla about how working at home will give you time to spend with your family. Articles in my opinion are way over done and there are literately "thousands upon thousands of work at home PLR articles in existence. If you are considering to jump into that niche, you may have some success once you establish a name for yourself and or build up a clientele. Otherwise you will just be another article writer, writing yet another article, about yet another work at home topic.

That is what I want to set me apart. I have been working at home for several years and I've tried lots of things and some have worked great, some not so much, and others were just a plain waste of my time. I feel that with my experiences I can have a well products blog and product where I can give insite and advice on things that will help other people looking to get into those areas.

You'd be surprised how creative (and successful) you can become when you spend less time looking around at others for answers and ideas, and start looking within. Just ask yourself, what type of information would I like to have had available to me when I needed it? And in what format, etc. Then dig into your own experiences and just go and create that product or service.

You can sell a lot of PLR without changing anything, but if you want to build yourself as an authority in your niche then changing your PLR graphics and minor editing is the minimum you should be doing to make your PLR unique.
