Google Authorship - Structured Data Tool Errors

Hi everyone,
this is my first post as I am a new member on Warrior Forum - although I have been a long time digital marketing enthusiast. I am currently trying to setup Google Authorship for my blog but I receive the following errors on Google's Structured Data Testing Tool:

- Error: Missing required field "updated".
- Error: Missing required hCard "author".

Everything else seems to check out, and it gives me a message that my authorship has been activated. However, when I search my posts my picture does not come up on SERP as it should.

Any suggestions? Would these errors have an effect on that?

    If it says your Authorship checks out then that part is probably fine, it will likely take a while for your picture to start showing up in serps though.
