Gmail's latest set of changes is probably one the BEST THINGS that can happen to IM/AM
- Forces list owners to manage expectations better
- Forces list owners to provide better value to list members
- It has the effect of REDUCING the 'desensitization' of consumers to the typical promotions run by list owners. Let's face it-spammy list tactics (hammering a list with multiple updates per day, unrelated offers, cheezy come-ons, etc) works only to "EDUCATE" the list members to never trust email lists...
- Forces out people who are looking to get value while contributing little if any value to the lives of their list members
- Will push list owners to redirect to a 'Gmail education' page after the optin instead of an OTO
What other reasons can YOU think of which support the argument that GMAIL's recent change will create a FLIGHT TO QUALITY?
