Clickbank avg rebill HELP

Hey Warriors,

I am trying to make some sense of the clickbank avg rebill stuff.

I know that clickbank says....

"Avg Rebill Total: This number is only shown if the vendor offers recurring billing products (e.g., products like memberships and subscriptions that regularly bill customers over time). This number shows the average amount an affiliate makes on all of the rebilled sales. Note that this number doesn't include the initial sale amount."

However is that for the actual product?

For example like the novel writing academy has a avg rebill of $290 on clickbank marketplace (vs $190 rebill on cb-analytics)

Does that mean the AVERAGE rebill is $290 for that product?

This product for example is $25 a month which would mean over a year of rebill on average. (of course I understand that the price could have been higher at a different time or the fact that is this only average and all my people could fall off after 1 month)

Is that for the actual product? or just for the vendor and the vendor could have 100 different products?

However when I do a search of their clickbank id like on cb-analytics only one product would come up. (so not vendor id + 1 or 2 etc like some other products do.

I know that product has been around for a long time so maybe that is the case. I still get paid $25 a month off a product I promoted 2 years ago. But only 1 person is left after many many years.

Just trying to figure out if any of these products actually pay what the rebill says they pay on average. Or if this is a vendor thing and no real way to tell how good the product actually keeps customers.

Any Clickbank expert out there can help me with that? Would even be willing to pay a $$$ for your time to ask some additional questions.

Thanks
Steve

It's for any product within their account. So it could be their main product, or an upsell, or another product.

If you're not sure about a specific product you should contact the vendor directly and ask. You can also purchase their product and go through the sales process to see what exactly they are marketing and how.

      Hopefully that answers your question!

They can, but as Miles says it's pretty messy and complicated, and can be mixed up with other products in their account. There isn't a way to know this really reliably, unfortunately. Asking the vendor is a possible way forward. It's not an altogether satisfactory position, really. :p

      Generally this is true.

However in this case there is only one product in the account.

The payment link for this is
      http://1.novwrit58.pay.clickbank.net

and replacing the Item number (1) by 2, 3, 4 etc shows no other items in the account.

(I've manually checked the first 10. You could write a simple script to check all 500)

Clickbank product ids are no longer limited to digits or consecutive numbers.

They can now contain upto 10 alpha or numerical characters (case insensitive)

Which means there are (37^10)-1 permissible product ids.

This in excess of 1,000,000,000,000,000 possible product ids.

So while Harvey has helped you by checking 10 product ids, you (or your script) have a fair bit of work to do, if you want to check all possible product ids.

Ok...So does it mean that the affilate gets paid the initial sale + the avg rebill when the products gets sold ? I mean, is the avg rebill total a monthly payment or just a one time payment to the affiliate ?

It's neither. It's the sum of the monthly (commission) payments.
