Help with Training in Article Writing

Hi, I feel my son has the talents for Article Writing. Would like to focus him on using his talents for IM for himself for Affiliate marketing, not selling articles.

He is 24 and like a lot of young males struggling to figure life out. He could easily be an English Teacher if he would apply himself and excels at reading and scored high on his ACT in those areas so I think he could do it.

Can anyone recommend a low cost/free course in Article Writing/Product Review Creation?

    Best training is to just start doing it, and measure his feedback.

    Write about stuff he's interested in, knows something about. Create a free blog on blogger or wordpress.

    Submit a couple articles a day to Ezine, and see how many people read them and click through to his site.

    Experience is always the best teacher.

    Let him create his own blog to harness his writing skills. There is no perfect writing course for everyone. One should master it to perfection by non-stop practice. A lot of readings will also be a big help..

    BKenn01, please tell your son that there's no need to spend a dime just to get a perfect knack on online article writing. There are many free online courses (e-books or reports) that you or your son may download. A little bit of Googleing will help.

    If your son wants to have his own blog site, I'd recommend you to buy his own domain name as early as now if he sees himself writing online for the long haul. That way, as his skill in writing progresses, his domain ages, too.

    All three of these sites have great, indepth detail about article writing and blogging.

    That being said, I'm bit concerned that you (his mother) is coming on to make this plea for him. I would think that if it was something HE wants to do, then he would make the request himself. Online writing is something that takes a bit of dedication and perseverance, and if he isn't that interested in it then I can't really see him succeeding, no matter what talents he has.

    Being an article writer for a while could help him be more successful in IM because he get to learn all the outs and ins from the pros that are actually making it by writing for them. Then, when he is ready to step out on his own, creating copy that converts into sales and that ranks in search engines will come naturally to him. It's a type of evolution, although not every article writer advances this way.
