Dear warriors, I just created a travel video website for my country.
It's - MyCountry-TravelTV.com

Before get in to creating videos. I just wanted to know. Is anyone making money out of travel vlog ?

If yes, do you guys recommend doing it full-time. I'm well experienced video producer so I can create quality videos. But the problem is doing this full-time or as a hobby.

I love travel as most of us.. But don't know how to make money through it.
Can I make around 1000$ per month at first?

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nuwan T.

The link you have posted isn't working for me...

I think the best way to make money is to charge bars, clubs, restaurants, sights for professional video reviews that will be posted on your blog and also distributed across the primary video directories.

You could also shoot promo videos for them. If you're only looking to make $1000 per month you could charge a very reasonable rate.

As well as that you could create video 'resort / area guides' - which would be lots of different clips about that resort, what to do, advice etc. Think travel show but much more detailed. You could charge $20-$50 a pop and sell lots of units.

You could also sell stock photography of the places that you visit.

I would concentrate on making valuable content and get a solid base of
people (traffic) that watch your video's consistently. Once you have that
there are many ways to try and monetize it. advertising, travel products,
affiliate products etc. First is to build your base of viewers and get feedback
on what they like and and do not like.

I would suggest creating an excel with all the possible products / Services you can promote to your visitors base you include your potential affiliate commissions per sales and be as realistic as possible about the sales you will generate per 100 clicks - if after compiling this list you feel that it may be profitable and sustainable they you should go ahead and make it happen

Thanks everyone.. As always warriors are really helpful ..

Is anyone making money from travel websites?

In my country people don't buy online..
So I'm planing to make videos in English instead of our country language.
I think it will help to find right people.

    Thanks,
    Nuwan T.

    Hi Nuwan,

You say you live to travel, I've had an idea for you.

What about starting a bucket list site (100 things to do before you die) you could film yourself as you visit the wonders of the world, as you go sky diving in New Zealand, as you find the tastiest burger in New York.

I would live to see a site like that. I'm sure you could create a real following and there would be hundreds of ways to monetize it.

You could even become an affiliate to travel companies.

Anyway, just an idea I had which I would love to see
