First $100 day!

I had my first $100 day this week. The commissions were made from Commission Junction, Peerfly and MaxBounty.

I paid a total of $225 in the past 10 days on advertisement and this were the results:

I am in the career niche. The peerfly and cj earnings come from promoting a job search website called beyond.com where I get $1 for every sign up.

I have figured out a sweet advertising technique that works well with the offer and I think I can scale it up to make at least $1000 per week. I will see by the end of next month.

My advice is: If an idea sounds good to you on paper, give it a shot. You have nothing to lose. The technique I am using is something people here have been saying "is dead" for the past 3-4 years.

Also, don't be afraid to risk a reasonable amount of money. In the past three months, I was doing a free advertisement version of the technique. I was making about $10 - $20 a day. This was proof that my system worked but I was still scared of paying to amplify the amount of traffic. Last week, I thought "the hell with it" and invested $25. The return was about $85 profit

  • Congrats! And yes, always ignore people that 'say' something doesn't work unless they have scientific proof that it doesn't. Often when people say something doesn't work, what they really mean is that it either hasn't worked for them or they are just 'parroting' what someone else has said, with no evidence to back up their assertions

    The investments aren't even that risky either.

    I mean $25 that's not a great deal so the risk is at a minimum.

    You have to take a step forward to achieve something and you
    have done that.

    Even if you didn't make anything at the beginning it's all a learning
    curve and you had the correct mindset to see it through.

    Well done.

    Just hope enough newcomers see this and get some inspiration
    from it.

    • Well said. I have heard pretty much anything from SEO and PPC advertising is dead here. Yet, I know plenty of companies who are making money with those technique today. Sometimes this forum is nothing but the blind following another blind.

      It depends on the situation. I am 22 years old recent college grad (accounting major). I work as a waiter while looking for an office job. After paying bills, not much is left. So, $25 is a risk to me, believe it or not.

      100$ a day doesn't seem like much, but sadly, it's a goal many will never achieve online...

      What kind of traffic/tracking did you use?

  • That is really great, I didn't hit the $100 a day mark... But right now I'm at around $20-$30 per day mark selling fiver gigs. I just stick to only one plan until I can "subconsciously" do every thing day in day out. Then I started to diversify my income into other plans like affiliate marketing!

    There truly is nothing like the feeling you get in the early days of your IM career when you first see success and you think to yourself "Man, this IM really works!"

    I think the reason why a lot of people are afraid to do this is because they just don't have a businessperson's mentality. Internet marketing is so unique because the barriers of entry are so low, especially compared to other businesses. This is a good thing, but it also brings a lot of opportunity seekers who don't really want to put any real skin in the game
