Bring on a partner or sell my site?

We started a small marketplace/community website (IM related) in January of this year. Well, it has since taken on a life of its own and is growing nicely via referrals. We're at a pivotal point where we need to decide whether to dedicate more time, money & resources to it -or- to sell it. Its a strong earner with a relatively low member/subscriber base and it only takes us a few hours each day to manage & maintain. Here's the kicker - we have many other successful projects & ventures currently and another MAJOR venture starting next month. So, this is where Warrior advice would be greatly appreciated...

Should we hire someone and train them to simply manage the site?
-or-
Should we take on a partner (preferably a fellow IMer with a large list) to help grow the site?
-or-
Should we just sell it and move on? (We've already had two appealing cash offers)

Any feedback is really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

-Keith

I might have some ideas for you but it depends on your site and what kind of community it is etc.... I understand you might not want to divulge all the details in a thread like this - so if you wanna chat then pm me or if you are comfortable posting more details here then just do that. I assume it is not the site in your sig link.

Kevin, thanks for your reply. I can disclose some info here and some may need to be via PM. Yes, it is the site in the sig

Currently at approx 600+ members and growing daily with no advertising (beyond my sig and little promotions, of course...)

If you go this route, I would think you'd almost want to hire someone you personally know and trust. Do you have anyone in mind? Where would you find someone like this? How long would it take to "train" them. Are you going to have to babysit?

If you go this route, you will most like to to go through with the first option as well.

This is a tough call. If it is making decent money, why not keep it to help fund your other /new projects. You could always list the site with a reserve to see if there are any serious buyers and how much you could get.
