MarketHealth Affiliates

Hey,

One of the best successes I've had is with Markethealth, however, I'm not making consistent income.

Should I set up a general 'health' site and write articles on each category like weight loss, multi vitamins, eye lashes etc and add banners/affiliates links for each category. Basically it would a site dedicated to all health realted products with well written articles.

DO you folks recommend one site for all MH products or should I target a specific product like 'Pure Saffron Extract'?

If it's one main site for all MH products, can you please recommend a good theme?

Many thanks

I wouldn't dream of it, myself.

Writing articles and publishing them only on your own site isn't a traffic-generating plan, anyway. The only traffic that can ever bring you, eventually, is a little bit of search engine traffic, which you surely wouldn't want to depend on, to sell Market Health products, anyway?

The more accurately you can target and isolate your traffic, the better you're likely to do.

"Health" isn't a niche at all. It's a market, and perhaps the world's biggest one, which contains thousands of niches.

Who's going to read the articles?

How are you going to get traffic? This is the question to which the answer is going to determine your income. These other questions about which theme to use, and so on, have very little to do with it.

I don't know the product, but in marketing terms the principle certainly sounds a far better one, because that will make it easier to attract traffic. You're still going to need a traffic-generation plan, though (and preferably one that doesn't depend on Google). Good luck!

Great Advice Alexa. That will really help me to plan this out properly.

If I do go ahead with creating one site promoting all MH products, then I was thinking of getting paid traffic to my Health site, maybe bing, yahoo etc. What do you think?

The only PPC I've ever done, myself, is Google AdWords, so I really shouldn't comment on Bing, or Yahoo, etc. I know that there are people doing this steadily and profitably, but it has quite a big learning-curve.

I have promoted a couple of MH products myself, about 3 years ago (they don't have many that I'm comfortable promoting!), and I've seen enough of it to know that it's clearly viable and practicable and reasonable (though overall, I've always preferred ClickBank information-type products, myself, to be honest). But other than the observation that I know there are people who make it pay, I'm not the right person to advise anyone about promoting them by PPC.

Again, I think a niche site, in general, is likely to be a better proposition than a big "health site" to promote all their products, though I don't doubt there are also people who make that pay. It all depends on your own experience and skills.

I have both: two general health themed sites (one for womens health and one for diet pills) and specific product sites. The key to creating a big generic site is to split the categories into sub-niches. So it's like you have many mini sites in one. I'm only now realising what a big task trying to keep such a large website up to date is, but it's actually easier than keeping my seperate product sites up to date.

Both approaches have their merits. What happens if your big site gets penalised? In that scenario it's better to spread out into mini niche sites.

You should NOT target a specific product because they drop and add products. Not as often as many affiliate networks but enough that you don't want to lock yourself in to anyone specific product.

Instead target a general area such as skin care, stress management, weight loss or what have you. Then add general articles and specific product related articles.
