Somebody is trying to damage my site ranking...help welcome

Hi there,
I noticed that one my blogs is getting, all of a sudden, over 1000 visits/day. The blog is ranking very well but this traffic is well beyond what it should get.

To prove it is my cpanel data showing that most hits are coming from China...

Obviously, somebody has put the site on a rotator or something to damage its ranking....

Any idea of how to stop this?

    Use cloudflare for blocking bot traffic totally. I have seen it working in past (though cloudflare has it it's own disadvantages).

    &

    Remove adsense from your site, Once the traffic stops, put adsense back

      What kind of issues have you had?

      If you do use CloudFlare to help with the bots, there are two things that can help:

      1. Our basic security level settings help stop a lot of bad bots (you can adjust the settings higher or lower).
      2. Our Threat Control panel does allow you to block countries, which would challenge visitors from that region with a challenge page (humans could still enter by passing the captcha), which is very effective at stopping most bots.

    very good idea to remove your adsense until you have things under control. the last thing you want is a problem with your adsense account due to no fault of your own.
