Promoting Travel Website Thru Craigslist. Stupid Idea or not.

I am affiliated with cheapoair.com affiliate program and a few other travel related networks. I do not have the funds to do ppc advertising right now. I would like to know if I promote my site not SPAM thru a craigslist ad would it be a waste of time or not.

  • Craigslist gets a lot of traffic. Even if it isn't going to get you the best results possible, it really can't hurt. Even if you just make one or two sales, it should be worth it and can help you get the funds to run a real PPC campaign.

There is only one way to find out, you have to keep testing and trying new things.

Whatever method you use, you need to work on it for some time then see if you are getting results. Keep doing what gives results and you're on you way...

You just have to focus and crack the code. It's undeniable how much traffic Craigslist gets. You will win once you discover how to frame your offer in a way that the traffic from CL will respond like crazy. Get out there, get creative, and test

    It's not a stupid idea.

Craigs gets an unfathomable quantity of traffic, and it's free to post.

So, it would be stupid NOT to try.

Seems like a good option to try. See that there are two travel links in the discussion section and in the services section. So test and see if you get any results. It only take 1 minute to make a Craigslist post. Good luck.

Promoting anything anywhere is never a bad idea if you ask me. marketing is about getting the word out, it's all about the goal of the ad though with Craigslist. If the goal is to get traffic to your sales funnel its not a bad idea in my opinion. However most of the people I know that are having success with Craig's list are using paid ads.
