Adding Paypal Payment to Landing Page for PDF file?

I am trying to make a download link for a pdf file I will sell but I dont know where to start. It seems like I first need to make a landing page taking my readers to the ebook download (pdf file) but I dont know how to incorporate how I would have them use paypal to pay and then access the file for them to download. I hope I am wording this right but any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks. One last question and it may be a stupid one but how do you turn a pdf file into a downloadable link/

A .pdf is normally by default a downloadable file, so if you click it, or right click and take the appropriate action as determined by your open browser, then the file will download.

So simply put a link to where you have hosted your .pdf and when your customers click the link, your file will be delivered to them.

On a separate note, don't make the link to your .pdf too easy to guess, or take some other protective action, otherwise you may find that some people will discover your download link and download your product without paying!

      Regards,
      Jeff.

I use a downloadable shopping cart program called payguard by Dan Moran. There is a free version and a paid version. I use both and like both. The free one is pretty good. Link is here:

I think it is great for pdf products and it has never failed me yet. You can put the pdf file directly into it or if you have more than one then you can just zip it with something like Winrar or Winzip.

Check out e-junkie. They will hold your digital product and you can use paypal. The best part is that it wont tax your hosting server account each time someone downloads your product. Just a thought.

Just use the paypal button to send your customer to the download page . Download the pdf to your download page and whatever you do , don't name the page download, dl or anything remotely close

If you're interested in checking out a few systems that do this for you, you can check out: DLGuard - Download page protector, create expiring download links

That's a system I created, and it's used by a lot of Warriors happily for many years.

Basically it's a system that will create the sales links, the download pages, and the download links for you, and a whole lot more.

If you have any questions about it, let me know - I'm happy to help!

    cheers

If you are selling, then I would recommend e-junkie for sure! It's easy to use. Also Use "EASYE-JUNKIE" when registering. You get 67 days free with them.

And If you are giving it for free, then I'd recommend you to upload it somewhere and then integrating AWeber to put the download link in the welcome email to the subscribers.

    I hope this helped.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I finally went with e-junkie and I like it. The only thing is I registered without knowing about a code and now I only have one free trial.

To learn more about your question if you want more info, you can Google "download protector" and get specific info to help you with that. This is even better than creating a download page with .zip because then the download file/folder will be protected from unscrupulous people looking for something for free, etc.
