Actually more than that. I purchased that little $19.95 book in 1995. Got me started learning about direct marketing, and learning from books by Dan kennedy, Jay Abraham, Ted Nicolas, Joe Sugarman, etc. Amazing how one little ad can open up a lifetime of knowledge. Thanks Jeff!

Is his lead gen ad ANYWHERE online still? I'd like to see it because I've heard of how good it was, and it would be awesome to get a sense for that that's all about!

I know he also ran a full-page ad for it in Entrepreneur magazine in the '90s, cause I bought it from that ad.

I also returned it for a refund when I realized it was nothing more than a long-form sales letter. I'm a huge reader and know a "real" book from a long-form sales letter when I see it. I actually really wanted to buy the product, but couldn't afford what he was selling at the time.

Honestly, I returned it more out of anger about that than anything else. As someone else mentioned, it was part of my early introduction to direct marketing. Wish I'd saved that ad now...

I'm only half way through and i already know my niche from this report. I do not see this report as a sales letter at all its a clever way to sell. I remember how popular he was back then. I recommend you all read this its exactly what I was talking about in another thread. Focus on a business and never give up.

You do not have to do mailorder like he did. try this on backpage. its not too hard to do what he was doing. You can't even order it now but its a lot of great advice.

Jeff was a big believer in the sequence of mailings, something he learned from Dan Kennedy. It works because I bought his $299 product on the 3rd sales letter!

I wish his lead-gen ads still existed... or you could find the PDF of the actual "Book" somewhere online, too... very interested in the mail-order biz

Jeff was certainly one of D Kennedy's biggest successes. (though his conviction last year by the Feds has got to hurt)....

I met him in about 1990, before he was a big direct response 'guru'. He had his financial planning practice in the Chicago suburbs, near where I lived at the time. Ended up doing some business with him.

The original lead gen book in PDF for the course has been on Anthony Blake's website for a long time: http://ablakeforum.com/esfdl/jp4k.pdf

Yes, it 's a pitch for $400 course, but I bought the little paperback back and thought it was pretty good. The "Famous" Cover

I can't find any of the original space or classified ads, unfortunately.
