What is a good site to outsource a VA?

I was reading one of the WSO's and he mentioned a place to buy offline advertising. Well, I was stumbling around figuring out which state I wanted to advertise in and the publication has a $25 for 10k email addys of people interested in a home biz. I am a newbie, just got the Get Response, but the thought of having to manually enter that many email addys.. well I wouldn't want to.

So.. my question (finally) is there an online place that I can outsource inexpsensively a virtual assistant who would do that and not charge me my first born?

Odesk comes to mind, amongst others.

  • eLance and oDesk are the two that I've used. Both of which you'll be able to find a lot of people to do this type of task.

Tanya, if my count serves me right, I have five to seven clients who run an administrative assistance (VA) service. I am more than willing to refer you to them. Just PM me your email address and I'll forward it to all of them.

I have been using Odesk most of the time with much success but recently because I can get the GST in Australia I am dealing with Freelancer.

    Hi,
There are some good people on Fiverr.com. Look for their ratings and ask them questions. Some are very capable and some charge $5 an hour for being your VA.

    Good luck

DO NOT buy email addresses from anyone, especially if you are going to use those addresses with an autoresponder like Get Response. AR companies like that do not condone buying email addresses and your account will may get banned if you try to add those emails manually.

Don't waste your time. Spend that money on building your own genuine email list consisting of subscribers who asked to opt in!

PlrGraphics is right. The wrath of Google is swift and once you're banned it can be extremely hard to get back into Google's good graces.

If you're going to get a VA, get someone who will help you do white hat: good content creation, organic link building, social media, etc.

Just look for a a site where you can clearly see the feedback and reviews workers are getting. Make sure you can clarify it's legit.

They will charge you for sure but you can hire them for almost like no charge. oDesk, Freelancer are the best places to found them.

Yeah, Fiverr 's always a good option in hirng VAs.
Odesk seems to be crowded for me, but it's still considered one of the best places to hire freelancers. So those sites are good, they have made good reputation to clients worldwide. Other alternatives I could think of are these guys https://www.staff.com/skill/virtual+assistant
For assistance and more staff to choose from, please contact them at staffsupport@staff.com

i agree - odesk is the best place to go, many many contractors from e.g. the philipines. a lot of people who just not get their work done as well but guess as in "real life" we need to try to figure that...

If you really want to get a VA on a budget (quality may be an issue) try Fiverr.com first. I would suggest checking their customer feedback before deciding on any one individual. Odesk & Elance usually provide a higher quality VA but at a higher price (you get what you pay for in most cases). I would also suggest looking at VA options in the Phillipines. Just google something like "Phillapines VA for hire" and see what's available. You can also check out the "warriors for hire" section of this forum. They have some excellent VAs within this forum at reasonable prices.

    Hope this helps.

There are a lot of sites out there but elance and odesk stands out. Also there are tools that you can use on those sites to monitor your virtual assistants
