Should I send traffic to BLOG or YOUTUBE? (Video related niche)

I recently started testing out this online affiliate marketing stuff... I've picked out a niche, and have started a Youtube channel catering to that over the past 3 weeks. I almost have 50 videos uploaded already. I also set up a blog a post for every video, and pages promoting the amazon products in the videos.

So my question is, should I focus on getting YOUTUBE views/traffic... Maybe with backlinks and whatever else. I've bought some views for a coule of the videos, with the highest being 35,000 views so far.

Or should I send traffic to my blog, which has all the youtube videos as posts?

I still don't have any purchases or anything, I've just been focusing on building up the channel and linking the blog. Not sure what the best approach would be

Cheers.

    That is a good question.

All situations are unique when it comes to marketing so I think the answer is whatever way that works for you the best. After a while you will notice the difference it does if you test it and can go with what works the best. I hope this helps.

      Thanks for your input!

I'm also trying to build a facebook fanpage out of it. Currently trying to build up the fans using ads as I think the videos will do good on FB once I get enough fans.

I think you should put a link from each video to the blog post about it and include the video in your blog post. Not only will this help you rank your blog, but you will get visitors from both.

The thing is that you can build a lot more backlinks to youtube videos than your blog (if it's fairly new) because of the youtube domain. That's why you can get more aggressive with link building to YouTube videos without harming your but only build quality links to your site.

Buying views should be done for one video in bulk, what i once did was i bought a gig for 10000 REAL views for one video and the rest naturally got 1000 views probably cause of quality, if your vids are high quality youll be raking in traffic, views and cash soon, i also monetized my vids on youtube and ive made a few bucks so far

Just a reminder about building backlinks to your blog is very tricky. But you can send backlinks and social bookmark your YouTube video like crazy. That's alright and Google won't kick out your video like how Google does to blogs.

I've recently learned that people now are visiting YouTube more than they used to be. It's not an official survey but have been reading about it on comments and discussions so providing a link of your blog in your videos will really help.

Buying views and likes to your YouTube videos will result in an eventual ban.
Create quality videos and let them age naturally over time.
Eventually you will be rewarded not only in the YouTube search, but the search engines themselves.

Agree with cynzdareveur: YouTube videos have many benefits over new blogs:

    - Traffic from the site itself (YTB)
    - Easier to Get Google Ranks Through Them (Depending on the niche). Sometimes within hs.
    - You can do SEO "experiments" against your videos without risking your blog.
