Critics and Thoughts about an Infographic

Greetings fellow digital marketers

Recently i began writing my own personal blog and one of the latest posts that i managed to create is an infographic called "10 Ways to Become a Better Digital Marketer".

I would like to hear your comments on it. Criticism will be highly appreciated too

    Lyubcho,

    This is a little different than most infographics I have seen and used on my own site. What you have created is a collection of ten graphics separated by text. It looks like a "how to" article or tip.

    Usually infographics are a single, vertically long, graphic (just one) that tells a story centered around a common theme. Most often, a colored background defines the entire graphic so it looks like one file (which it is).

    I'm not saying that yours won't work . . . just that it doesn't look like an infographic to me.

    Yes, I agree with Steve B, that's an article with images, not an infographic. But I like it. Great work! And you have a character which is the same in every image. That's great and looking professional.

    I think it could use a little work:

    1. You need to integrate images and text more effectively. Just posting a picture followed by a paragraph isn't really an infographic, it's an article with images.

    2. You should vary the images more. Recycling the picture of the guy in the suit over and over isn't the best idea. It's good to have a 'mascot' or identifiable character in an infographic, but you should change the illustration a bit, or feature him in different situations.

    3. You should use more numbers and figures. Infographics work best when they use "eye catching" stats that most people aren't aware of... For example:

    13 Reasons Why Your Brain Craves Infographics [HTML 5]

    Look under the headline "... Because We Are Visually Wired." Notice the use of numbers/statistics in this paragraph? That's exactly what an infographic is meant to do: make a compelling argument using a combination of images and numbers. Your current piece relies way too heavily on words.

    You guys are really awesome! Thanks for your advice I'll do my best when making my next "infographic" or whatever it is And about the character - i used stock images, and thats why the character is pretty similar in all of the images. Unfortunately i can't draw...

    Nice! Looks good to me. It's not an infographic per se since those are one long image that kinda look like a comic strip. But you can fix that easily. I like it, don't mind the others that criticize.
