Ideas needed - Run out of idea to write quality post once a week

Your problem (as is clear from looking at your site) is that you're in the "make money online" markets, without yourself having successful experience of this. Basically, you're trying to teach people how to do something you haven't done yourself. So you're in one of the most difficult and competitive niches in the world, and you're not even retaining your traffic.

This is probably the single commonest mistake that beginning internet marketers make, and the single biggest reason for their failures.

For the reason you describe, and for countless other reasons, I strongly advise you to get out of that niche altogether, and start blogging about something you know all about, have experience of, and have enthusiasm to convey to your readers: you'll find it very much easier to come up with blog posts, that way.

Please excuse my being outspoken, here. I've seen hundreds of members in exactly your position come and go from this forum, not earning anything online. I've seen a small proportion of them still here a year later, sometimes even two years later, still without having made any significant money at all, and more and more people gradually suggesting to them that maybe "make money online" isn't the most appropriate niche for them. All too often, they don't take any notice, and they don't progress, and then a proportion of them end up believing (and maybe even announcing) that "internet marketing's a scam and it doesn't work". All because they started off doing what you're trying to do.

Don't get me wrong, please: I'm not complaining about your doing that - I'm explaining that the fact that you're doing that is directly, causally connected with why you're not going to make any money from that site.

The combination of "make money online" with SEO traffic and no list-building - whether you can write blog posts for it or not - is just "Disaster City". Not just for you: it would be for me, too. The difference is that I already know that and I avoid it.

Sorry to be the bearer of what sounds like bad news, but I'm just being realistic, and that's the way it sounds, in these circumstances, when you do that. The truth is that your problem won't be fixed just by doing what you're doing in a different way: it will be fixed only by doing something different.

While I agree completely with Alexa's take on this, I'm going to give you some advice that will serve you in any niche market you choose.

Even if you never ran out of ideas, there's a disconnect in your blog topic and your content. This will turn people off whether your topic is IM or underwater basket weaving.

Your tagline says your blog is about the journey of a total beginner, yet your articles are written from the standpoint of an authority. If you're going to be a newbie, be a newbie and write about the journey.

Look at the gal that inspired the movie "Julie and Julia" - her blog was an honest account of her year spent cooking her way through the Julia Child cookbook. Highs, lows, triumphs and flops, it was all there.

If you're going to do a "newbie journey" blog, that's how you want to present it. You'll build an audience that's rooting for you.
