So I've been taking advice from the members here, and I think I have a plan. I currently have a blog about information and tutorials. I am making about one or two blog posts a day and am currently only getting traffic from Stumbleupon. I plan on getting more traffic through forums and other blogs. I have Adsense pending right now, but I don't think I'll have a problem being accepted. I am going to use this blog to advertise some products from either clickbank or fiverr.

As I'm working on this blog, I am working on a program to help advertise your profile on a certain social networking site. Once I'm done with it, I'm going to make a new blog based around tutorials and info for this social networking site that will also sell my program. I'm also going to use my program to promote this blog.

Is this a good plan? Should I do something else?

Also, I should mention, if I made $10-20 a day, I'd be happy.

Thank you.

  • Rubik,

Sound like you have a pretty good basic plan here. The only thing I would mention is that you should probably focus on SEO if you don’t have other plans to drive traffic to the site. You have some pretty modest financial goals so I don’t see why you couldn’t achieve this.

    Best,

    Shawn

Yes its always great to start. Just start something. Starting a blog and posting everyday is probably all you need for now then you can learn about sales funnels and how to get people on your list giving away a free report.

Focus on providing very good content and to make your blog popular. Just keep in mind that you cant focus on 1000 things at a time so just be focused on this for now.

Try to implement as many traffic methods as you can. There are plenty of ways. Stumbleupon is a way, then you could submit your blog to content aggregators, write articles, social networking, video marketing, etc.

You should create a traffic plan that you can follow every day.

Out of curiosity, how were you making money with AdFly? Were you using some third party "software" or were you actually making money from the platform as it is being sold? I know there are a ton of ways people seem to be manipulating it for financial gains...

I did a blog post about my experience with Adfly and I found the traffic to be useless. I'd love if you could share some insight in the comments of the post for users: An AdFly Advertising Review - Traffic Came But No ROI Was Achieved

Thanks for your insight in advance

It's a plan and sounds solid, without knowing your keywords though wouldn't even guess what you would make on it.

It sounds like you are not monetising your site right away? if so - why? you definitely should, there is no need to hesitate. beside that, i´d also optimize my posts for search engine traffic, that will flow in no matter what

BTW, do not forget to target a market first before start blogging. To get the most out of your blogging as a beginner, you should choose a low competition keyword for your blog.

Great plan... go ahead, but do not forget to use other high pr social bookmarks like facebook, g+, twitter, delicious, linkedin, digg, pinterest and others. Visit a lot of website within your interest or niche and make useful comments. The conclusion is try to get more backlinks from any high pr websites either do follow or no follow backlinks both are useful to get more traffics.

The plan sounds great, but why don't you give article marketing a chance? You get relevant traffic and it also helps with SEO.

Article marketing does not help much with SEO as they used to do earlier 2011. Yes, it can bring targeted traffic from article directories itself. You should not expect anything more. . If you get, that is bonus.
