Good Entrepreneur Books...

Hey Guys,

I haven't really seen any posts like this (I'm sure there might be a few) but I was wondering if any of you have read any good books that relate to entrepreneurs or Internet marketers.

I've heard that the "Richest Man In Babylon" is a good read but any other suggestions?

Best Regards,

David

I recently read some real good ones here they are:

Crush it with Kindle by John Tighe is great if you'd like to get into publishing books, Invest in online Real Estate by Chris Guthrie is one of my all time favourite books about website flipping and last but not least I got "Local Online Marketing" by Claude Whiteacre which has really great advice for small business owners or those who market offline

    Hope you like them :-)

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)

I've read thousands of non-fiction books in the last 13 years or so, and I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Millionaire Fastlane by MJ Demarco is one of my top 3 books of all time for making money/being an entrepreneur/internet marketing.

i have zero connection or financial incentive for recommending that book, but I recommend it to every single person I know or talk with. It's that good when it comes to showing specifics.

After all, that's what it's about... specifics. What actually leads to making a boatload of money/wealth.

And yes, I agree that books like "the Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Wattles and "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill are important for mindset... but when it comes down to it, you also need to know practical steps for getting rich.

The Millionaire Fastlane offers the single best breakdown of those steps i've ever read.

it's focused on internet businesses... but really can be applied to any business.

"Get Rich Click" by Marc Ostrofsky was pretty good and T Harv Ekers "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" are in my top 5 as well, but for straight out practical steps to making a ton of money and becoming wealthy... I think that the Millionaire Fastlane is the best book I've ever read on getting wealthy.

        I second what Shawn said.

This book isn't just a book.

Everytime I pick it up, it is like I discover something new that is essentially timeless in application.

      Nope, it's mental masturbation.

**** Timothy Ferris. The guy's a damned charlatan and an egomaniac. His book was cool, sure. But it was like your typical guru launch: full of hype, bullshit, and unrealistic expectations.

Agreed. I bought it 2 years ago and I still re-read it often for motivation because I'm working on a new project.

Funny that I came across this just now! I was literally just mentioning something from this book in another thread minutes ago. I'm currently reading this book for the second time. It's great for actually telling you what types of businesses and business characteristics (and personality traits) create millionaires. And it's realistic too. It's not full of hype. The analogies he draws keep it entertaining and fun to read too.

And then as far as simple motivational stuff, try the classic Psycho-Cybernetics. It's excellent, life changing stuff

If you want a really good read - How To Get Rich by Felix Dennis (awesome book)

I could write a huge list but it would be of no benefit to you at this point. Happy reading.

Business basics like Michael Porter, Tom Peters, Philip Kotler.
This is evergreen business information which I think is great, although some of it was written quite a while ago.
Then again, Think and Grow Rich was written in 1937 :-)
