Changing article content question

I am trying to find out how much to change my articles that I am rewriting for the 80 millionth time.

Let's say I am rewriting the sentence: "It will bring joy and happiness." Is it enough to write "It will bring happiness and joy."?

Does google look at the actual phrase, or the number of times a word is used in a sentence/paragraph?

This should answer your question about how much Google cares about this...

This is a song about a whale, NO this is a song about being happy
    Thats right!
Its the happy happy, joy joy song!

I usually do a combination of the 2. I write the first 1 or 2 paragraphs from scratch and then rewrite/rearrange the rest. This seems to work well for me right now.

I was just wondering if I was rewriting enough.

To quickly answer your question, you should be fine with the rewrite you have as far as Google is concerned.

As far as the article directories are concerned, the good ones look at the articles you've already submitted as well as using software to verify it's original, so... it's a toss-up.

But why would you? Just paraphrase the article again and again. It's like taking an outline and rewriting the article many times.

I think you guys are correct. I am moving more towards just writing a new article each time or at least every 3rd or 4th time. I like the idea of setting up a little outline (even if its only a mental 1).

We keep trying different article spinners, but they end up being more of a pain than anything else.
