Amazon Marketing the Right Way ?

Hi all, I am new to amazon affiliates, I was wondering how do you guys promote amazon products effectively. They give only 4%, if for example I am promoting something with $100, I will get only $4 !!!

My basic strategy that I follow in all my websites, is too find a product,make a mini site about it, and write a well neutral review about, target long tail keywords with product name, and get traffic using SEO. I usually promote products with payout at least $30

So, how to apply a similar strategy to amazon products, to be able to get make a good overall income. I know amazon has a lot of potentials in it.

So any advices ?

    I never made much with Amazon but the products I promoted were in the $5-$20 dollar range so, of course, the payout wasn't much. My advice is to promote high ticket items.

    Be sure to use the search feature here as well. There is plenty of quality information to help you from people far more experienced with Amazon than I am.

    Why wouldn't you use the strategy you outlined for marketing Amazon products. This strategy works so why look for something different. Amazon is no different than promoting any other affiliate program.

      The reason is that the payout is very low 4% unlike other cpa networks, I hear that people do promote a lot of amazon products, so I was curious how with such small percentage they can generate a decent income.

        It only starts at 4%. After 7 sales in a month the commision increases to 6%.
