Hop Links and craigslist

Question: It's clear that posting a hop link in a clickable image does not work as I just uploaded an ad to Flicker, posted it in a craigslist post, and redirected the it to the proper affiliate hop link and it posted fine, but would not redirect. So as a test I edited the post and directed it to one of my websites it worked fine. I would like to redirect the posted craigslist ad to a page on my website but then re-direct it to clickbank. The question is " Does Craigslist pick up on this and could I get flagged or banned ? I could also choke the re-direct link on my website with a wordpress plug-in if that would help. Or do I need to have a landing page on my site where the user has to click again ? Clearly I am not the only one who has thought of this ........ but there should be a way to do it safely and not piss off Craigslist "

    Do a masked redirect... Godaddy does it best. The easiest way is to purchase the domain you want and then call them up and tell them that you want a "masked redirect" and give them your affiliate link

    Masked = the url stays the same when it's clicked on...

      Thanks you Carol. So,..... to the best of your knowledge, Craigslist is OK with this or simply isn't really on to it ? I already have a website that works well for this product, so at this point until I pick products that might need a new host or website to reside on, I would rather re-direct it to my working site. I did the simple thing and redirect to a new page on the website and then inserted the clickable hop link in a post with some added text recommending it. It will require the user to click twice which will lower my conversions..... however.... It is a safe way to do this sort of thing....... but not really ideal . let me know what you think thanks
