Upsell Pricing?? Upsell Offer Structure?? ...what works on Clickbank??

Hey Warriors!

1) Is it better to have the 1st upsell after a customer purchases your product be cheaper or more expensive than the initial product?

ex. Main Product is $47 ...should the 1st upsell be a $27 or $37 ...or should it be more expensive at say $67?


...*also, If they decline the 1st upsell, I will probably downsell a discounted/stripped down version of it.




2) I will also have a 2nd Upsell ...any suggestions for pricing on this one (should it be more expensive or cheaper than upsell #1)?



3) And what upsell structure do you recommend?

ex 1:
Upsell 1: Bucket offer with all kinds of related products (this would probably be more expensive than Upsell 2 since more products in it).

Upsell 2: Goes more in depth about a niche topic about the main product (or makes using the main product easier or cheaper) ...this would probably be cheaper than Upsell 1.

    The answer is... you have to test. That's it. There's no one-size-fits-all answer for what works in terms of CB upsells/downsells/cross-sells/etc. I know that answer isn't sexy, but it is what it is.

    I will tell you that A LOT of vendors seem to do the one-time-offers that are $10 cheaper than the main product, and I've seen this work well (i.e. main product- $37, upsell- $27)

    On the other hand, other products have upsell/downsell price points all over the place. For example, The Fat Loss Factor has tested their funnel pricing extensively and ended up with a pricing scheme that works like this:

    Main product - $47
    Upsell #1- $97
    Upsell #2- $59
    Upsell #3- $79

    So really, there's just no way to correctly guess what will work for you and your product. You gotta test.

    It really depends on the offer. A lot of people prefer to have their front end offer priced lower than the upsell. The reason being you want to get as many leads into your funnel as possible so you want the opening to that funnel to be accessible to as many people as possible. Then when they purchase you offer them the more expensive and more advanced tools.

    Personally I only use the one upsell nowadays in the IM niche. They purchase, present them with an upsell. If they decline then present them with a downsell (cheaper stripped down version) then take them to the product.

    Some marketers will literally walk you through 3,4 or even 5 upsells one after another but it's just not what I like to do. Each to their own.
