New Member - Any Suggestions?

Hi, I've been a forum owner for a few months and I like the creative aspect of it but not so much the marketing/SEO part. You can find us at NationTalk - Nation Talk. I'm making a bit on ads/affiliates, but could use some advice to take it to the next level. Thanks!

    Try to build a list if you can so you can let them know about interesting new posts from time to time and keep them coming back to the forum. Also, I don't know if you already have a Facebook page and Twitter to promote it, but that can really get you more traffic.

    As far as sheer monetization, if you're already using affiliate offers, you're probably on track. You could also try selling things like shirts and books from Amazon if you're not already.

      No, I don't have a Facebook page - is it really worth it? I just don't like Facebook, but maybe I have to get over it...

        It would definitely be worth it to build out a facebook page.

        You should be able to get some free tips on doing it the right way and building a following.

    You might want to test something besides Adsense. You could probably find something more targeted to your visitors. Adsense just shows me whatever I looked at last. On your site it was ads for a hosting company I recently investigated for possible affiliation.
