What is the fastest and most convenient way to earn the first few dollars in the web?

Hello,

I would like to make my first few dollars (about $5) in the web, what is the fastest and most convenient way to do that?

The reason why I only want to make a few dollars is because John Reese said in the New Money Masters that a goal in the beginning should be to just make $1, that would have a strong psychological effect and that will create lots of mommentum.

So what would you say would be the fastest and most convenient way to make a few dollars, even one dollar in the internet?

I thought about becoming an affiliate for amazon, but I watched a youtube video in which a seemingly experienced guy said that it's very difficult to make money with amazon affiliate.

What do you think? Is it a good idea to make the first few dollars as an affiliate, and if yes, which affiliate programm would you recommend? Is making money with amazon affiliate really that difficult?

Kindest regards
Frank

You just wanna make $5 quickly, think of something people would pay for that doesn't have a ton of people doing it and offer it on Fiverr.com
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8452962].message }}
  • Yes, possibly Fiverr but make sure it's something that's in a fair amount of demand. You could also bid on freelance jobs on sites like Freelancer.com or Odesk.com. Also, search sites like Craigslist. Sometimes people need small jobs done and they post an ad there.

I wouldn't suggest starting out with affiliate marketing at first, but once you get your feet wet Amazon Associates can tend to be easier than marketing clickbank products.

Good point. Go to iWriter and pick up a few low level 500 word jobs. Deliver something other than crap. Make $5 or more in your first day. Done! Then move on to something more profitable because once you move up the pay chain at iWriter there are no decent jobs to be had and you can't stomach making the crap pay anymore

Fastest? Probably offering a service. What are you good at? (writing, programming, design, research, etc.)

Lots of places you can offer a service. Check out the 'Warriors for hire' section here. Offer to do the first handful of jobs for free to get your name out there, and to get some testimonials (most people will want to see positive testimonials & a portfolio of your work before they hire you for $).

Lots of other places to freelance too... Fiverr, Guru.com, Elance, ODesk, etc.

Offering a service is nothing I would like to start in the beginning, because I don't know which service I can offer on those sites mentioned above.
Affiliate marketing seems to be something that involves no risk to me. Isn't there any affiliate programm you would recommend?

Is the amazon affiliate programm really difficult (Eben Pagan talked about that in the New Money Masters series)?

Affiliate marketing isn't really fast - there's a learning curve there, and more likely than not you will be promoting something against established competition. It's not that Amazon affiliate is really difficult - it's that you have to do it right and do it a thousand times to make it into real money.

And it's not generally quick unless you already know how to target, tap, and move traffic to your offer.

        I agree with others..
Fiverr would probably be the best way to reach your goal.

Try to create something unique. A service without "too much competition".
(Fiverr has 1.7 million users, both buyers & sellers so it's competition but it's still thousands of people who can purchase your gig despite the competition.)

When you've made your first gig you can promote it.
(Share it on twitter, tell your friends etc.)

You can also use Facebook to promote your gig, easy as 1,2,3.
Just search around for large groups on facebook and promote your services.

It's like finding a needle in a haystack but sooner or later, someone will place an order and there's your first $5. ($4). Good luck!

        Regards,

I think this is some of the best advice in this thread. Not necessarily the adsense part. but the point.

What is the point of making $5 in something you are NOT going to be doing?.. Try and learn and earn $5 in something you see yourself doing long term.

It doesn't mean you will do it long term, but why waste your time on something you know you wont be doing?

Once you learn how to make $5 with something you can see yourself doing, then learn how to multiply it.

Actually, earning from adsense is not that easy. It needs a lot of hard work to even earn first few dollars through it. Also, he will not be able to withdraw $5 from adsense. So, fiverr is the best option.

One of the easiest ways to make money online is by selling on eBay, facebook "yardsales" for your local area, and Craigslist.org.

Chances are, you have items in and around your house right now that could easily bring in at least $100. These items include clothes, books, CDs, DVDs, toys, games, electronics, exercise equipment, antiques and so on.

Just be sure to take a variety of good pictures, write a descriptive eye-catching title and a good ad… and you’re sure to get top dollar for your wares.

All you have to do is get an account at one or all three of the above sites and you are good to go. If you use facebook do a search yardsale "your local city name".

Here is another great way to make a little money fast:

Have you ever visited the WarriorForum.com? of coourse you have, you're here now! – Believe it or not Allen Say's WF could be worth thousands of dollars to you.

You see, the Warrior Forum includes a special section called “Warrior Special Offers” (WSO) where members sell products and services to each other. It costs just $20 to list an offer in front of thousands of other members – but you can rake in a fortune, fast.

But before you post a WSO, there are a few things you need to know (Warriors correct me if I am wrong here):

    1. Some offers work better than others. Study the forum as well as past offers at WarriorForum.com to find out what will make you the most money.

    2. Develop a relationship first. The longer you’ve been a member and the more useful posts you’ve made, the more respected you’ll be among other members. And that adds up to more WSO sales for you, not just the first time, but every time.

    3. Get testimonials before listing your WSO. If you have time, send preview copies to some of the Warriors before you list your WSO and ask them for feedback and testimonials. More people will purchase your offer if others say they've liked it.

Sift through all of the great responses you just received and pick one or two and give them a try. Then Continue on every day or every other day, and soon you will have fast cash in your hand.

If you are going to choose affiliate marketing then let me give you a little advice.
The product that you mentioned was (Eben Pagan talked about that in the New Money Masters series

I know Eban has an affiliate program. Go join his program and write 5 articles about that offer Eban has going. If you don't have a blog start one on squidoo, blogger, or else where and post those articles and review on your site.

Go to eZine articles and post them there. Wait until your articles are published on eZine articles.com and then post those same articles with a re-written begining and ending on other article directories.

    Good luck.

P.S. Don't listen to what a lot of the guru's say. You have to create your own path, not copy someone elses.

  • Amazon Mechanical Turk! It doesn't require any internet marketing skills or selling but basically involve involves doing small online tasks like writing articles, tagging images, transcription, etc. It's one of the favorite ways my work at home visitors use to make money online. Some are actually making several hundred dollars per month with it.

My suggestion is to make your first buck or two there and then re-invest it in your internet marketing career via training, tools, etc. But once you've made your first cent, it really does change your mindset.

I started my career by earning a penny reading emails on one of those get paid to read email sites. While my friends and family laughed at that (and probably some folks here.) I saw it as proof of concept and learned to scale up, which lead to my career in internet marketing and affiliate marketing. Without earning that first penny, it would have never lead to the thousands I make per month now. So I think what you're doing is the right thing if it helps boost your confidence.

mTurk Works - I used to make pretty decent money taking psych surveys for college students thesis / research papers *chuckle* which I did then turn and funnel into my business for hosting, domains, etc.

There are a lot of tasks on there though - you can sort and identify images, write content, verify links, etc etc. Sometimes marketers slip in things that are against the TOS and mask an affiliate traffic promotion as a "task". Ah well, such is life, no point hating the players and kinda love the game.

Go sell something on Ebay if starting your own website and marketing it is too hard for you. That's how i started off. Then i wanted more control (and profits), (and i hated driving down to the post office everyday)... then i launched my own site. Marketing is simple, and that's what it all boils down to... no matter your product.

I would rather choose a business model that gives you long term income. Yes, your first dollar might come later but you are growing an asset. I will simply set up a squeeze page which redirects to an offer and focus the rest of the time on traffic generation activities. There might be even a chance that you get your first sale if you use paid adverting on the same day.

I would say fiverr is going to be the fastest way to make some quick cash, if you're looking to make some good cash with it you'll have to work your butt off. I would say take the time to build a list, learn sales funnels, so once you start building a big list you can sell them affiliate products, wordpress plugins and themes, ebooks on lead generation, etc. Then you'll be able to make some quick cash with a simple email and you'll have a large targeted auidence to sell membership sites to, or "mlm" programs if thats your thing. Those Empower Networks leaders are raking in a lot of cash because they've got huge list and can afford a lot of paid traffic.

yeah then try just writing some cool content, with some good videos on there, and then throw adsense on the site, but in a cool manner that isn't overbearing. If you target a decent keyword that pays, then just a few clicks a day can turn into real decent monthly income.

The fastest way to make money on the web is to freelance yourself if you have any skills that are marketable, or even fiverr if you dont. I can say for sure you can make money like this, I probably made a quarter million over the last 4-5 years doing freelance.

On here you can make a buck or two doing a WSO (if you do it right), again Im speaking from experience, I made over $17k in the last 7 months doing WSO's without any affiliates. This is kind of fast .. but you have to make a product.

The third fastest way to make money online is to build a list and then market other peoples products. Again speaking from experience I have made a couple K from affiliate sales.

I would say that Fiverr is probably the quickest. I would start with article writing. You can also find ways to offer your article writing services on different websites like elance or odesk. Jon Leger also has a similar service that started a few months ago that you could sign up for.

If article writing is not for you, there was a free product/list floating around the web (or maybe it cost a few dollars) on products that paid directly to your Paypal account once you signed up as an affiliate. Many people were writing and submitting articles and generating an income doing that.

Anyway, good luck and the best to you!

There are lots of services which will helps you to make money easily like SEO article writing, blog commenting, backlinks, social media interaction etc.

You can do online marketing like SEO. SEO is just one of many different factors of online marketing, and to completely comprehend the methods that Search engines uses to find out which websites come up at the top of the Google search, you have to basically be a professional.

You can also do You Tube Video Marketing. It is very easy and simple process to get traffic and the best part is you do not need to do any particular course for this. You can use your own thoughts and ideas.
