How is paying $0.25 per click for a solo ad sellers well circulated emails better than paying $0.02 per click for a targeted Facebook ad that links to a squeeze page on your fan page?

Wow asked for some info and got a rant instead.

Sure there is no guarantee that your going to get down to 2 cents a click, but my 10 year old kid can make a Facebook ad that gets clicks for less than $0.25, it seems that paying 25 cents a click for a solo ad that is 1 often trained to expect free stuff, and 2 gets you emails that are on tons of sellers lists and marketed to every day when you can get targeted traffic for less than that price (even if it isnt 2 cents) makes no sense at all. If you are paying more than 25 cents for targeted FB traffic then you are doing something very wrong.

I had asked for some honest reasons why you seem to think that solo ads are more viable but instead of giving an answer why you think one should pay more per click for solo ads you responded with a rant.

I have no choice but to assume that its because you have no intelligent answer as to why people should pay more for solo ads when they can get targeted traffic for a lower cost (even if not as low as 2 cents, still lower) thanks for taking the time to answer, your lack of reasons is actually an answer it itself.

By the way when someone asks someone 'why is A better than B' they are not saying you said something, there asking a question if you are not able to give an answer just say so, no need to get so defensive.

Well if FB ads were so easy then everyone would be doing them. Solo ads are done by many big marketers for a reason. Lots of solo ad sellers also have a buyers list and getting buyers on your mailing list is much more powerful than getting regular subscribers.

To PirGraphics, so you are saying that in your experience the extra cost of a solo ad is justified by your perception that it is a 'buyers list'? It was my understanding that many people who do solo ads will only mail to a free offer. How can this be a buyers list if they are getting free offers all the time? I would think that all this does is 'condition' them to expect things for free? Also if you dont mind me asking what kind of conversions have you gotten with lists built from solo ads? Did you not find that these people getting offers daily combined with the solo ads themselves lead to lower than normal conversions? As hustle in his ever cynical mindset failed to comprehend Im not for one method or another Im merely trying to get some info on the pros and cons of both. If you have used both methods I would love to hear your experiences.

And as I stated in my earlier post. I want you to show me where I said Solo's were better. Like every other wanna be you put words in peoples mouths and talk about stuff that isn't true. Live it, walk it, learn it.

I do this too every now and then and there are times when the traffic is cr*p but usually I get decent results.
