New to IM - Looking for suggestions.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the world of IM and I'm looking for some suggestions.

A bit of an introduction for you all. I'm trying to earn some extra income for my family by working at home on-line. I'm in the situation though where I have no money to invest. Basically I'm starting with nothing. My thought is If I have nothing then I have nothing to lose.

For the last month I have been grinding away at the PTC sites ProBux and NeoBux try to build up a small income from that. They take second to do and get me money for nothing really. Also using postloop to bring some extra $ in where possible. My thought is if I can eventually generate $10 a month from them it can afford to pay for a Domain & Hosting.

Whilst doing this I've been writing review articles here and there. To start my own review affiliate site. My first campaign, and I have the rough framework of my 1st ebook.

I can code HTML , PHP and other languages and over the last couple of years I've taught myself to demo trade the Forex which I've done pretty well at. ( but don't have the funding to trade , Yet ).

A few questions for you all.

Which area of IM would you recommend I went in to ? I have looked at CPA, affiliate marketing and ebooks. Is my focus too wide ? or is it best to start wide then focus in on what works ?

Have a got all my costs correct ? For each CPA campaign I'm best to have a domain and hosting so I've estimated $10 per campaign is this correct or is there more to this than I'm allowing for ?

Are there any other income methods you can recommend to get me started I have PTC and Postloop already. I don't want to use fivver at the moment as I cant guarantee when I get the time to get the jobs done.

Lastly I've read a lot about list building. Why is this important ? I understand that you have a list of people interested in your niche but I have hundreds of e-mails from shops I bought from in the past. I've never bought from them again. Quite frankly I wouldn't because of all the mail they keep sending me.

Thanks in Advance
Dave.

    Hi,

List building is something you have to be committed to continuously.

If you can build a funnel that allows you to break even or make a profit
at the front end you can quickly scale up your numbers and build your
    list a lot faster.

There will be some upfront expenses like:

    1. Hosting
    2. Autoresponder
    3. Domain name

and so on and so forth.

Like I say list building isn't something you can do part time.

    Not at first anyway.

At the beginning it's all about fine tuning your sales funnel so you know
that it's going to make you profits both at the front and back end.

But using list building as a way of generating a long term income is
    definitely your best option.

Once people are on your list and you've established good strong relationships
with them you can make fantastic incomes online.

For anything else I cannot really comment.

But I urge you to think long term and not just short term if you're looking for
something that's going to earn you great incomes for many months or even
    years to come.

I suppose it comes down to an individuals mindset and what they wish to
achieve financially in terms of their goals.

Good look with your future efforts anyway.

    All the best
    Gavin

Ahh o.k so I need and autoresponder.

As i understand it when someone signs up to your list it can be set to mail them once a day for 7 days with say a seven part series of articles is that right ? All personalized and targeted to that niche ?

Will I need one when I first set up or can I add that a later date ? How easy it to set up a list for each different niche ? that way I could have a few niches / sites but each with its own independent list.

As for PTC I think I've got myself into a routine I find it easier now. Cup of Coffee and both PTC's then Reddit for a bit. I've got it to about $6 a week now. $4 from probux $2 neobux. It better than nothing and I've risked nothing either. You have to start small and build up.

Im was a ptc user when i was a kid then i tried to make real money but i fail so many times.
You will have to focus on something that you rally like doing it. WHY? because if you dont have experience or the right guidance you will fail and quit. If you really have a passion and love what you do, you will never give up.
There are many ways to promote cpa campaigns but i guess you will need more than $10 bucks.
Building a list is very important to build a relationship with your subscribers and future clients.
You have to learn how to treat your list because many marketers just are sending 1-3 emails a day. lol
I didnt have a list but i used Facebook instead. Having 500 friends is better than 5000 subscribers who dont even know you.

I just got $3.92 in my pay pal account from a Fiverr gig. There is a 20 day delay, but this is a great service. Setting up tasks on Fiverr does not cost you any money. Basically, you are sent $4 from Fiverr and pay pal takes out eight pennies. Try to create some gigs. Find things that you like to do and become an expert in your area.

Fiverr is the first thing you should be looking at. Think about what skills you possess that can be marketed on Fiverr. Then go there and start gigging until you have some money that you can re-invest in hosting, domains, autoresponders and everything else you need to start building a list.

Well, the best suggestions are just staying in that field.

    Dont give up.

Buy only 1 book. Not on how to make 100000$ in 2 weeks, but just on how IM works.

    Read it. Twice if needed.

Then have the guts to do it. Just buy the things you need and do the same as many people did before.

Just dont give up, results will come slowly if you are new. (mostly, there are always exceptions)

    I wish you good luck!

To be honest I'm not into buying ebooks. I used to when I first started out in forex but soon realized nearlly all the information they contained is available free elsewhere on the net and all paying for it did was gave the motivation to learn it because I'd wasted £50 on it. I'd rather have the book in my hand than on the screen at least I have something to throw when its not going to plan.

I have read Rags2Riches by kenster. An amazing place to start if anyones reading this. Its free go and get it.

I thought of a few fiver gigs I might be able to do. Could I sell traffic ? I have thousands of minutes racked up in my hitleap account. I also have thousands in my addmefast account. Or does that count as blackhat ?

I could code MQL Forex strategy's or write some articles I suppose.

Forget about earning money through PTC. It is so boring and time consuming. A lot of them does not pay at all. As you know HTML, PHP and other programming language well, you should practice them more to become an expert instead of wasting time at PTC. Provide web designing services at freelance marketplaces. You will surely earn 500x more than PTC.

I sell on fiverr and the profits pay for my monthly hosting ($10) and Aweber ($19) services. It definitely helps when you can re-invest your profits like this.

I started my business with money I earned on sites similar to PTC ones. Mostly SwagBucks back when they had PayPal payout options - but also on mTurk doing crowdsource work. mTurk uses Amazon Payments so you would have to link it to a bank account and withdraw it, but it's one way to earn at least enough money for your hosting.

Also, some may disagree with me, but I don't believe CPA is a good fit for a newcomer with no budget. Traffic is a hard thing to master, especially when you are having to learn how to drive it for free.

If you want to do CPA, I'd suggest you invest in a good Facebook training (not a facebook ADS training yet - one that tells you how to set up and virally explode a fan page, then promote to the fan page - with options OTHER than paying for ads- it CAN be done- the last page I set up I ran NO ads on and it still grows by about 400 - 600 people a day!)

Once you have a fan page up and being liked and shared a ton, and the numbers of likes and active fans going up, you can slip in relevant CPA offers with your content posts. It works.

It takes a learning curve, but everything does.

Hi Dave and welcome to the Warrior Forum, Your definitely in the right place.

Having a list in my opinion is the most important thing in the Internet Marketing business as you can send instant traffic to a product you just launched or even an affiliate offer.

If I was you I would definitely start off building your email list without a doubt, I didn't make any real money until I started building an email list and alot of other full time Internet Marketers will same the same thing.

Just because you haven't bought off of people you have bought off before when they emailed you doesn't mean that no one else has, because Im sure there are plenty who has.

Not everyone will buy off you when you send an email out promoting a product. But hoping that you have a responsive list and send them a targeted offer some will buy and some won't.

I've had a lot of success from building my own wordpress sites around different affiliate programs, products, and opportunities. You can get a lot of nice traffic from all the different search engines. Takes some work but if your good at html and coding, then you might enjoy it. There are a gazillion products and programs out there so make sure you do your research on them before just jumping in. One of my main incomes is from an e-cigarette that I sale from my website lol. Just for example. It Gets lots of visitors and sales everyday and I dont speak to anyone. Once you get your sites up there, its easier because you just maintain them and keep them updated. Hope this helps and good luck sir!

Thanks for the suggestions , much appreciated.

I've thought of some fiverr gigs I could do. Although I think $5 may be a bit cheap for your own custom automated forex robot compared to other services around.

I'm going to stick with my PTC at the moment. It takes less than 10 mins to do both PTC sites and if i have more money at the end of the day than when I started. Its a good day. Its also relatively guaranteed income. If my CPA domain fails and brings no income in a whole month. I have not lost as I only used the PTC $$ to pay for it.

  • You said you can code. To get some start up money, you could do a few freelance stuff. Try oDesk, Elance or even Fiverr. I use oDesk quite a bit and make at least $50 a month with writing gigs. It doesn't cost me a thing and all I have to do it write a few applications to jobs each night and every once in a while someone will hire me. I also have a lot of repeat business. I would think of this as a long term thing, as product creation, WSOs and list building/affiliate marketing would make me more money for my time, but it's good to start out with.

Give mobile ptc or gpt a try if you are into it. Mobile get paid to is rather new and specifically for smart phones. The payouts are higher and you have a lot of options to chose from, including app downloads etc. In fact it is a lot easier to make $10 with mobile gpt than with traditional gpt, you could easily do that within a day. Expending the kind of effort you are making in ptc right now, you will have absolutely no problems making a heck of a lot more with mobile paid to click.

There are many ways to make money online - one of them is to rank on 1st page of Google and YouTube - you can promote CPA offers, affiliate offers, Amazon products, etc. What I do currently is contact local businesses and offer to rank their business on 1st page of Google and YT, I use 19 steps SEO system that works very well, for example go to YouTube right now and search Best Steakhouse In Phoenix and you will see that I have rank Roka Akor steakhouse on 1st-4th spot on YT and as of now they are on 1st page of Google, you do the job - contact local business and close them for monthly fee, than cleanse and repeat, you can rank for any keyword in any niche, PM if you are interested.
