Anybody in Apple Newsstand?

INTERNET MARKETING

I just submitted my first Magazine for approval into the Apple Newsstand.

Ed Dale is hitting this hard so I went for it but other than paying him 1k I found a site which does the whole work for me and charge nothing for the setup (I understood that this is a trial, not knowing if it's available forever).

So while I wait for approval, is there something I MUST do to help my Mag to lift off?

Some say that Apple does all the marketing for me, but I guess there is always something we can do to improve the results.

It's aimed at small business owners, Offline Marketing related, so I don't know if Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest etc. will be a great help.

I recommend to unleash all your propaganda machine on the social media and within the Apple ecosystem itself too. Try to publish short books on the iBooks store, and offer them for free whole promoting on the final pages your magazine that is also reachable for the average Apple user in the newsstand. Publish short video and audio podcasts in the iTun store in addition to your e books on the iBooks store, and launch an small productivity app on the App Store. In that way you can have a whole range of products available in the Apple ecosystem, so you can build up your profile and be know as an expert on your field, generating leads to other websites so you can make money off webinars, reports, e books, boot camps, videos and so on. So you are getting exposure in the newsstand, and leading all your readers to your true money making machine, while creating a following community, increasing to be featured and promoted by the Apple Editorial team. That's from my own experience. If your publication gets approved, let us know and I'm going to be first subscriber.

and I have a free Magazine published plus 2 paid Magazines (one added these days).

Close to 400 free downloads and a few sales, not yet making any profits.

No contacts yet from readers for my Offline business, promoted in the Magazine
