Is it necessary to add analystic to minisites? Which is the best? Please describe the benefits.

    I would say it's essential so you can see a) where your best converting traffic is coming from and b) which parts of your site are performing well and which aren't (and why).

    Google Analytics is great for an overall helicopter view of your site (and it's free so there is absolutely zero reason to use it, unless you wear a tin hat and think that Big G is up to no good).

    For digging in to see what individual visitors do, I use Clicky.com - it's not free but doesn't cost much.

    You should at least be using Google Analytics.
