There will always be guest posting !!!

In addition to blog guest posting, most forums have 1,000s of people guest posting. Guest posting is the future and the future is here, right now.

From the number of threads about guest posting today, I'm guessing that there was a webinar or training over the weekend recommending guest posting for either traffic or, more likely, backlinks.

True guest posting, where you offer someone great content and they have to manually accept it, will continue to be a great way to build both traffic and reputation/authority.

Mass submissions will suffer the same devaluation as mass spamming article directories. Practitioners will see a lot of smoke with very little heat.

      That's my story, anyway...

Ah. Yes indeed. I had also been wondering why there've suddenly been so many "guest posting questions" this week, but I hadn't got as far as that possible solution. Yes, something very like that must be right, I think.

Yes, more likely, I'm sorry to say. It would be quite a work-up just for backlinks, though!

Maybe it is because I create content, but I feel like guest posting is going to be by far the best and easiest way that I grow my user base.

  • The future of guest posting will be much the same as the past.

95% of people will do it wrong, and for the wrong reasons (backlinks).
5% will do it right and for the right reasons (targeted traffic).

The 5% will talk about how great it is and how much traffic and/or money they've gotten from it.

The 95% will scratch their heads and wonder why guest posting doesn't work for them, then blame someone else, then buy a $7 WSO on it, then do it wrong again, then call Internet Marketing a scam and give up for a few months, before returning to try the same things again.

    That's about it.

      Haha awesome!

And I agree. If you do it right, it's one of the best ways of generating targeted traffic to your sites.

What I see as the future is you might start to see sites charge for guest posts. Google has already stated that paid advertorials shouldn't pass pagerank, however if your aim is to drive traffic then this won't be an issue.

Have been blogging for about 8 months full time and read about how guest posting is the most effective way to generate traffic and it is best to approach blogs within your niche to guest post on their sites to get traffic to yours.

My experience has been that it is difficult to get blogs to allow you to guest post on your site. Have sent countless emails to blogs within my niche and have not had any response. The two sites within my niche that did allow me to guest post have really low traffic.

Have also tried to guest post on sites outside of my niche but within a reasonable sphere. My blog is about China's culture, history, people and places. So a general travel site might fall within my sphere of influence. Even those sites have rejected me.

Maybe it takes longer to develop relationships within your niche to guest post. Haven't cracked the code on this one, but am sharing my experience.

More and more people are charging for guest posts now but the future of guest posting is undetermined because it depends on the owners of the site...

I think guest post as a stratagem will be imperative and will continue to be a key element in internet marketing campaign.
The SEO planet has been extremely precarious recently, as the individuals who have devoted their vocations on the advancement of sites and online journals have seen a swing in Google's algorithms prospect.
There is unmistakably a real change coming, yet is it genuinely worth all the buildup. I also believe that the demand for guest posting will increase, and the supply will gradually develop behind it, yet there is a bit of advice that everybody should comprehend before mulling over the best methodologies take.

Guest posting is an important thing and will have a bright future. As Google gives importance to content so guest posting will play vital role for the promotion of any website.

Guest posting is nothing new. Long before the internet, journalists, were guest writing for newspapers. It's nothing new nor is it going anywhere. It's done online line. Same stuff different platform.

Look at news sites, many of them are nothing more than aggregated "guest posts". from other websites. It's THEE best way to keep content flowing with new and fresh ideas.

I'd say, as long as you add guest posting to a well balanced backlink and marketing mix, and write decent, useful guest posts, that don't smell like spam it will help, not harm.

Like always, try to make things natural! I would recommend to stay away from already spam-crashed blogs however, because those might likely get penalised in the future with all sites having links from them being in danger for getting infected by those penalties as well...

  • Guest posting is not so good -lets see what Matt Cutt says:
According to Matt Cutts, Guest posts can be problematic:

"If people just move away from doing article banks or article directories or article marketing to guest blogging and they don’t raise their quality thresholds for the content, then that can cause problems."

Screw Google. Guest posting should elevate your position within a niche community, educate and entertain the readers of the host blog, and motivate those readers to want more of what you write.

In other words, your guest posts should presell you and your message.

Abusing this model for the sake of a backlink SHOULD return zero.

The part I bolded and underlined is the key to that entire statement. Cutts isn't saying NOT to do guest blogging. He's saying NOT to publish junk. If you take the time to create guest posts that are chock full of important information AND enjoyable to read, how can you possibly go wrong?

From my point of view, the biggest problem facing most marketers is how to get a consistent stream of traffic to your website, squeeze page, or Internet property.

Chasing Google has left a lot of people with broken businesses. I would suggest putting more money and time into streams of income that don't require search engine success--Google can change its algorithm and leave you high and dry in an instant.

Guest posting is one leg of the Google Independence journey. Others might include Web 2.0, forum commenting, solo ads, banner ads, ppc, and any other ways to get non-search engine traffic.

The irony of this approach is that having lots of guest posts with links to your site, will drive up your rankings on Google, and may make you successful there as well.

My philosophy is to only create links that I would create even if Google didn't exist. Guest posting is one of the best ways to do that.
