Arcade games site needs traffic. Any tips?

Hello there!

I have a arcade games website with lots of flash games. As i am at the beggining of the road, i need to drive traffic to it. Some good traffic, some good players into it.

Any tips?

    If its the beginning and you dont have any money (and i dont think you need to go with paid traffic) you can try to post on gaming forums and gaming groups on facebook.

    Do this manually each day and you will get nice startup targeted traffic for your website.

    I would say start on some SEO Campaigns.
    Target low competition keywords. In my opinion the online games niche is saturated.

      SEO Campaign is going to drive traffic but it's more like a long time project.

      On the other hand, i know that the market is saturated but what do you say if there is a really good profitable keyword that gets good traffic and it's on low competition? Is this worth to try and optimize your website based on that keyword, despite of the saturated market?

    If you're going for a younger market (FB crowd getting older) you should also go into twitter, instagram and tumbler. Use great/interesting/compelling images/videos on your post to increase the chances of sharing. Take advantage of Twitter cards =)

      Thanks, but it's hard for me to work on this since i am located in a non-english speaking country... So since my website is in english and tagets people in US, there is going to be a problem for me doing...

      Any tips for how to effectively promote on social media without having any popularity?

    what? There are thousands of gaming forums all over the net and even more in Facebook. Do not look for good ones. Go anywhere someone would be seeking for online games and post your site url.

    However, I strongly recommend you start some FB ads campaign. With a minimum cost per click you can get loads of high quality, converting, targeted traffic.

      Good tip man with facebook ads. But i am still afraid of Facebook ads that they won't be cheap and won't drive virality or at least visitors that come back...

      Is this your tested method in this niche? Did it got your good results?

    I dont know the forums for gaming because its not in my niche but google is your friend
    Use some footprints and search or use scrapebox if you have it to scrape forums easier!

    PPV is always good for gaming traffic, since often, the reason the users are seeing your ads is because they downloaded a game!

    Some of the free but trusted traffic you can get to you game site would be using Facebook and article marketing. You can post your article to different directories also can post you website numerous online directories to get more backlinks and visitors. It will also increase your google rankings. Also you can post ads to different classifieds and exchange links with other gaming site.

    Try to find forums that are related to arcade games. Make sure that they do allow signatures within the forum. Also, try to use Google alerts, enter your keyword in the search query and set results to "blogs" which allows you to comment on the latest posts.

    Buy advertising on Project Wonderful.

    Majority games sites. The traffic is cheap. It's like buying low cost banner ads. Very targeted for your niche.

    Don't waste money on purchasing traffic. Arcade games sites don't make much money. Try to trade traffic related to arcade games sites. and try get traffic from toplists site.
