Press release websites

As I understand, submitting your article/website to a press release website is a great way to gain extra exposure.

But I can't imagine that every press release has the same impact. Who cares that another affiliate lose weight website is going online... NOBODY, with a serious website will do something with that press release...

OR?

Maybe I'm wrong and it not really matters what your press release looks like and what product/website you promote, as long as you send the press releases, you will profit from it.

If this is true, how do serious websites filter the press releases and what are the best PAID and FREE press release websites, where serious exposure can boom your website or product?

    Obviously many services will take your piece whether its actually news worthy or not. And users will know in a second if its something worth their time to read. So just because a press release service can get you a lot of exposure doesn’t mean everyone will be receptive to your content.

    PRWeb is one of the most popular press release services. They are pretty pricey but seem to have a lot to offer.

      Thanks, I understand what you mean, but my question still is, if 100.000 people submit press releases every day, how does a journalist filter it? It looks impossible to me.
