Conversion Tracking with Google Analytics?

Hey,

I haven't been in my analytics account for a long time (I use statcounter). Now I have seen that it looks completely new, also with new functions...
Anybody who is tracking conversions (like opt-ins or sales) with it? Is this possible or not?

Yes, Google Analytics allows you to track conversions.

You can set your Thank You page as Goal URL in your GA account.

Each visitor that has arrived at your Goal URL is a conversion.

Yes, Google analytics worked all the time for me 100% fine.

Its an awesome tool if you can master it,

I can recommend you the book "Web Analytics 2.0". Its by far the best book for analytics on the web and I am reading it right now the 3rd time in a row.

Its just awesome.

Google Analytics is ideal for tracking conversions of sales, such as ecommerce sites. If you are looking to track the sources of web leads which result in sales, check out Convertable. Other analytics and conversion tracking tools worth looking into are KISSMetrics and Clicky.com.

What kind of conversion do you want to track? e-mail optin, sales, video streaming? I made a video that explains the vanilla aspect of goal tracking. However, things can be more complicated depending what you want to track
