How much is this site worth on flippa roughly?

I have a pr2 site in the solar energy niche. It's been up for about 18 months and gets around 50-100 unique visits per day. It makes about $30 a month from Adsense. Just wondering if anyone would know roughly how much a site like that can go for on flippa as I have never used it before.

Probably around $250-$500 but this just depends on other factors.

But there is no actual valuation on a website, apart from that it'd worth the amount the buyer wants to pay for it.

there's a base value of 12-24 times the monthly income.

Very true, just look at the backlinks and how trustworthy the site is.
But if its PR2, I would say too, just multiply your monthly income by about 18.

450$ would be a pretty good price for me.

I agree with Lee, however, I think you would be lucky to get 12 times monthly income unless your site has a track record of $30/month for a couple of years.

Another way to sell it would be to offer it for sale to the top web site owners in the niche. The $30/month might not mean a lot to them, however, the 50-100 unique visitors/day might be attractive to someone already making money in the niche.

Ask them to make an offer for the site rather than putting a price tag on it.

I have often found in selling negotiations, usually the first one that names a specific price loses!

      Good luck to you,

      Steve

Thanks guys. Actually the site was doing 400 visits a day and up to $20 a day before googles algo updates. I think I will have to get involved with flippa and see how I do.

Have you tried adding a clickbank product to your pages? Just one sale in a month could more than double your income for that page, and thus make it worth twice as much.

Very good point. We (I work at Flippa) find that for a small site, the best way to sell for a higher monthly multiple is to diversify monetization methods. So consider adding some affiliate links to your site, see how you go for a month or two, then sell it on Flippa.

its i think 5-10 the monthly income. If you use the flippa tool and you have a site making 500 a month it will recommend you to sell it for 4 to 7 $ k

I've tried clickbank in the past, but didn't make any sales with it, but that was just an ad on the side, no sales pages or anything.

To be honest once I had lost my rankings I just gave up on this website, I added an rs feed news plugin to it and its been pulling all solar energy news from around the web for the last 6 months or so. This was my first real go at online business and I really didn't know what I was doing, ordering all kinds of SEO services from the warrior forum.

If I had known what I do now it might have done better. But now that I am working on other projects I don't have time for it and was hoping to just put it up for sale.

Once I put it up on flippa I will report back and let you know I do.

Id pay $180 for it probably. But thats just me. of course the 'value' is what you can get someone to buy it for. Anything else is just speculation.
