Good 1-800 Number Service?

I am looking a recommendation of a good 1-800 number service?

I was using Hosted Numbers, but got a lot of random calls, and random 30 second calls showing up in their tracking.

Any ideas on a good service?

These guys are the boss of bosses. They have an epic technology platform. This is better than ANY IVR I've had the displeasure to call.

My favorite part is their voicemail. You can forward the 1800 number to your phone, and if you don't answer, it'll go to the COMPANY voicemail on your personal phone.

So if your mom calls, personal VM. If a client calls, it magically knows to leave it at the company VM.

Seriously great, been dealing with them for 3 years.

Grasshopper is not marketer friendly and their support is sub par, to be polite.

Found this thread seeking an alternative to them and am excited about tollfreeforwarding.com

I also used Grasshopper and wasn't super excited about them. It wasn't bad, but we were limited by some features but had a very unique case where we need thousands of numbers. Most providers want to charge us for each number or extension or groups of them.

i use a service called evoice which is pretty good. I think its $10 per month for a voicemail and 1800 number.

It depends on what you need. I use Grasshopper and was able to get a vanity number and don't get any marketing calls at all. I haven't had any problems but I am not a big operation either needing hundreds of numbers. It is only me but I could easily add more lines. I paid for a year and it just works for me.

Hope that helps. Best of luck.

Forgot to add: one of the things I like the most about them is that I can schedule the calls to go to different people. One of my old businesses, I had a partner, so if I got calls during daylight hours, they forwarded to me, but calls at night went to my partner.
