Mind Blowing Ah-Ha Moment

This ah-ha moment really gave me the extra drive and motivation when I was getting in this business and I thought I'd share.

make sure you thank me if you find it valuable

Anywho...

I had been building my email list, and I found it to be slow going.

I was swapping, and getting only a few subscribers per day.

But then I realized...

The first 1,000 subscribers is the hardest.

Think about it: When you just starting with list building, your only swapping 5-10 clicks, then 10-20.

So it will take a while to get to 1,000 subscribers.

But eventually you will get to swapping 50 clicks, and then 100 clicks.

So making it to the next 1,000 subscribers is a lot faster, and the next 5,000 subscribers even faster.

List building is compounding IF you stick to it.

So I want to challenge you here and now to start building your list.

Especially, if you're starting out.

It gets better and faster!

True - but few people actually reach that point. Everybody wants an instant solution without spending any money - and when they don't get that instant satisfaction, they just give up.

      Dain,

You have to be careful about thinking that your list-building success will follow a linear path.

I've spoken with a number of marketers who talk about hitting a plateau and finding it very hard to go much beyond that point. Momentum slows, tactics and products become stale, markets become crowded - any number of things can change and affect your list building efforts.

My guess is, niches also are never the same - some show increasing promise while others show signs of stagnating or even death.

      Good luck to you,

      Steve

When you reach that point, take what you learned and build out a list in another niche as well, if you can't get past X - start Y.

What do you mean by swapping? You mean contacting others in your niche and swapping mailouts across lists?

Thanks, I found that inspiring. I got 3 conversions on my landing page today. Tomorrow it will be 6.

    Then 20.

    Then 100.

Exactly. This seems universal with a lot of different things. It's always hardest at the bottom.

The higher up you go, the easier it becomes.

      Glad you found it inspiring.

      Keep at it!

I think its against the rules to ask for thanks in a post. We will see if this is up tomorrow. Don't think it will be though.

No offence but whats so "Mind Blowing" about "List building is compounding IF you stick to it"?

PS. Asking for thanks, not a good idea...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

list building is something I read up on these forums in the past and has helped me. Its all about staying in contact with people who find your content valuable to them and add those "hestitant buyers" to your income stream instead of just the spontaneous ones.

One more Ah-ha or Inspirational moment for you.

Your list builds on autopilot when it goes above 25K

    Take action now, good luck!
