Post Your Thoughts On My Business Name

Mouthy chick that I am, I quite often have to apologize in advance (more or less) for hurting people's feelings, when I reply to threads like this one. But not this time: I like it - I think it's really good.

(Ah, I see - you're a copywriter: well, you're going to be able to come up with a good business name, if anyone can.)

but how about just, Pure Performance

One problem is though, that the domain names pureperformance.com and pureperformancemarketing.com are both already registered.

I think no matter what U do you need to have the corresponding .com domain name for your bus...

Thanks for catching that...didn't realize it was already registered. I'll have to figure something out...maybe can buy a variation of that domain name. Feedback appreciated though.

  Mmmmmmmmm ... you wouldn't want to set up a marketing business, of all things, on a domain-name of which the main (unhyphenated) .com variant already belongs to someone else? pureperformancemarketing.net/.org is surely a mistake? And pure-performance-marketing.com too, I think? Both are going to lose some traffic, have worse resale value, and so on? :confused:

  This will happen all time when you give your business name for suggestion and that will be registered by someone else before you get enough suggestion.
  
  Keep it secret and never disclose before registering it .I know suggestion helps but we are living in competition era where you will get more competitors than helpers.

So tell me what performance marketing is. You want to do it "purely" but what is it?

Does it mean that you personally perform the marketing for your clients?

Or does it mean that you want to be paid based on your performance?

Or is it that you guarantee your advice will create optimum advertising ROI for whomever you take on?

I'm asking these questions because as a business man myself, I don't know what kind of performance you're suggesting here.

Steve, I like you..

but I think you're overworking it there..

Pure Performance is a great name and seems to readily apply to any endeavor..

Let's not drive the guy crazy trying to figure every angle in the world...

If PurePerformance.com or PurePerformanceMarketing.com were available they would make awesome names for his bus..

He definitely knows what he's doing...

I'll definitely take Steve's advice seriously...he helped businesses develop economically and create jobs for 30 years according to his website. Not just some guy spouting his opinion.

I understand, but don't second guess yourself into inaction by over analyzing..

U already had something good... to me U innately understand your position and were ready to act on it..

I'm not saying he was just some guy spouting his opinion..

but I think he was getting close to it, if not actually doing it..

Maybe it's just me, but those were the vibes I was picking up..
