A question about ClickBank's tracking IDs

Hi. The affiliate links of ClickBank obey this pattern:
Code:
http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=yyyyyy
If I want to create a new tracking ID, which of these do I need to do:

1. Generate a new URL through ClickBank's site;
2. Just change the value of tid:
Code:
http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=newid
What bothers me is that in the second scenario xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx doesn't change while in the first one it does. Is that a problem?

    Either method works but (2) is obviously simpler.

    The second is far easier.

    I don't understand why that bothers you. The purpose of TID's is to be able to track traffic sources without needing a different account or hoplink to do so. If the "xxxxxxx" part had to change each time, the TID part wouldn't be worth much, would it?

    Thank you both, the problem can be considered solved now.
