How you doing Email Marketing due to gmail Updates?

hello guyz,

i just wanna ask one thing:

Now gmail lookout has been changed completely. I mean its been divided into 3 categories: Primary, Social, Promotions..

My query: How you people are doing Email marketing? are they going into primary tab or Social tab?

In my opinion, we will be at a great loss if mails go under 'Promotions' tab.. The mails that has a word contains 'Unscubscribe' directly goes into 'Promotions' tab..

So, whats the solution for this kinda issue?

Since my open and clickthrough rates are all still within normal variations, I'm not doing anything different than I've always done...

Edit: Correction. I have added one line to the bottom of my standard success page:
Gmail users, don't forget to check the "Promotions" tab if you don't see my email right away. Thanks...

It's simple. Just tell the person signing up they should filter your emails to go to Primary. That way, they won't miss even one of your awesome newletters

Anyone who wants your emails all that much. If you have someone subscribed to receive a 5 day email course, most of them are not going to just keep going to the promotions tab. They're going to make sure they get every single email, and they're highly motivated to switch it to the Primary tab.

    Promotions isn't a bad thing.

It's not spam. There is nothing to be alarmed about. If it's something people don't want, it makes no difference if it's in your primary folder. They're not going to read it anyway.

Set the tone of what your subscribers can expect in your welcome message and your "freebie".

I do a single opt in. On the download page I offer a bonus product delivered via email getting subscribers to go to their email.

I tell gmail users that to get the bonus they must go into the Promotions tab to get the bonus and in order to get more free info down the road they need to drag the first email from me from promotions tab to primary tab.
