What do you think of these business names?

It's going to be a digital marketing company, and I want to focus on communicating the fact we'll produce a measurable ROI for our customers.

Let me know which you like best (if any), and why or why not.

I like the first choice I don't know why. I think it seemed to me the most appropriate.

        Dan,

Since you're talking about focusing on marketing that is performance based and measurable, how about

        MarketingBeyondMeasure.com

If you want to spend a little money, an even shorter name is BeyondMeasure.com (available at GoDaddy Auctions)

        Good luck to you,

        Steve

The first two mean nothing. The last one implies a promise you may not want to make.

That leaves 3 and 4. Neither excites me, but Optimum ROI would likely need more explanation. Do you want to spend time explaining your name, or what you can do for your clients?

#3 seems the best of a nondescript lot...

I would not take any of these. None of these look like brands, if you know what I mean.

How about making something that is a "brand", if you know what I mean, in order to maximize the long-term value?

You need to stop obsessing about the name. If you need this much help with that you are in for a rough time.

I agree that you should not be OCD, but name has an effect.
You can't just register best-marketing-ever.com and expect it to even remotely be good.

I always try to think of original names: Google, Zoosk, Bing
Or clever spins on the topic: LinkedIn
      Or even something ridiculous: Twitter

Too many people have EMDs on the brain. It's silly.

This is a good point, and the way I'm choosing to look at it. I enjoy running my own business currently, but I've only got 2 years experience, so that's why I'm asking for all this feedback.

Ah, but that assumes that we are all sane. That could be a dangerous assumption, and definitely one yet to be proven...:p

Would go for option 6. None of the above. Rather see something out of the box. Go for the brand.

Ahh okay...this is all good information. I am new to business and want to get the name right...have something that is brandable because I want people to recognize the name and instantly gain trust that we can do the job.

I'm still learning the way the market and people think, so it's all helpful information.

So, the general consensus is I should go for something more brandable than a name that describes who we are and what we do?

Even though Pure Performance Marketing has the lead, i like High ROI Marketing. Reminds me of "Reverse Marketing" from Bob Serling.

I really like "Results First Marketing". It tells the client what you do, get them results. Plus, a LOT of people do not know what ROI stands for.

My beef with that name (Results First Marketing) is the implied promise of "no results, no pay" or paying only after getting results, however the prospect/client might choose to define them.

No consultant worth a hill of beans guarantees results upfront, the delivery of which he cannot control. Not wise to make that promise in the business's actual name.

Putting results first does not guarantee anything. Results are something that every company strives for. It is a bit vague though. I can see your point of implied results, however, which is problematic.

Some cause-oriented hackers recently hacked one of my websites. So I researched what they're about and then donated a large sum of money to the entity they hate the most.

The next time they hack one of my websites I'm going to donate DOUBLE.
