Two articles a day - same or different topics?

Question. I am going to post two different articles a day linking back to my blog and opt-in page. Should I make the articles the same general topic or completely different topics using completely different keywords?

Background. I am focusing on the MMO niche and will be driving down to sub niches.

Also, what sub niches can you think of? Example, SAHM (stay at home moms)
#article marketing #articles #blog #day #driving traffic #keyword research #topics
  • Where do you plan on posting these articles?

As far as the topic of the posts goes, I don't think it matters whether it is the same or different, as long as they are both of high-quality, and posted in places related to your niche.

to find sub niches in MMO, just look down the list of topics here on WF. Many of them will be good topics for posts on your site.

yes, the key is finding your niche, which can be very very difficult.

The topic doesn't really matter much but the quality of your content. Also as said by Michael, where you post your articles must be related to your niche.
      All the best!

Keep them in the MMO niche, but there are so many sub niches you can write about. Just look at the sections of this forum for examples.

Post them on your website first. Or blogger, wordpress, weebly. Then put them on ezine, otherwise there worthless to you on a website.

    All depends on keywords.

If you write one article and want to target one keyword phrase then do the second in another keyword phrase. If you want to do three keyword phrases then do the next in three keyword phrases.

No sense in competing with yourself in google.

      ^^ This.

Too many people think that submitting articles to ezine is a good way to build back links and generate traffic... but it just isn't.

Maybe it was at one time but not anymore.

I would stick to related topics and upload all of the articles to your website first. I have been doing a lot of guest posts recently and because the website I am marketing now is for my writing service, all I have to do is show people that I know how to write.

It does not really matter what I write about so I have been writing guest posts on a wide variety of topics. But if you are marketing a niche specific website it is best write articles that are related to your niche to give people the impression that you know what you are talking about.

      Good luck!

If you can bring in high quality content that can really engage your own readers, for sure Google loves it. It is important that your content should be always relevant to your MMO niche.

Don't forget to do a slide show or voice over narration and pop them on youtube, Thanks Danlew you reminded me of that when you said google.

  • You want to have them in the same niche, but optimized for different keywords based on the proximity principle - (some people call it 'cornerstone content')

That way, you are ranking for the keyword, and also collateral keywords as everything is being ranked for that keywords - as well and MORE relevant for the original.

Thank the Panda update for this one... And thank it profusely for ranking really, really, good webpages - and not cheaters finding loopholes.

Concentrate on quality as opposed to quantity.

Do you really need to post two articles per day? In many instances, a few really good articles will net you a far better result than a bunch of rushed articles

Great point! If you can write two informative and engaging articles every single day, go for it. If you can't -- or think that a so-so article every now and then is OK because you're simply trying to churn out a "magic amount" of content -- slow down your pace. Remember, you only get one chance to make a good first impression. You don't want someone to stumble upon one of those so-so pieces and think that you only run a so-so business!

Blogging frequency increases the growth of your blog. Think of each post as a link in a net. The more posts you write the bigger your net becomes for people using search engines to find your blog. As long as you are writing good content, and keep up the pace, avoiding burn out, go for it. Content is king. The more you produce the faster your blog will grow.

I wish this was true, but it isn't.

Blogging frequency is WAY down the list of things to do in creating a popular blog.

It's why Derek Halpern, Jon Morrow, and many other popular bloggers barely manage even a weekly post.

Simply throwing up lots of content will only have a VERY small effect in your blog growth.

It is far, FAR better to have a few articles and market/promote them well, than to spend your time creating content.

I believe it depends on the niche, if you have a niche with 100 great keywords that are a perfect match, then writing more articles is beneficial to hit more keywords.

If Im doing one really great product that is making me alot of money with the way it sits. I will do one article of about a 1,000 words with the keywords that are ranking and spend a couple of hundred to have it written.

If I am doing say a dog breeding site or affiliate link.
Then I will gather my keywords up. Lets say I have 20 that I have tested and make the cut.
I then will either take 1 to 3 keyword phrases depending on how many articles I want and do one article per 1 to 3 keyword phrases. I do not see any thing wrong with two articles a day as long as they are quality and you can hit more than one keyword phrase. They should be independent of each other if well written with different keyword density.

If I have a product I want to make money at, I will find ten keyword or phrases and send it to my writing team for ten articles. I will use each article about each week for the site on different keyword pages. That is how I do it and works great for me, if I seo'd it write and index them properly.

We can debate everything here, till the Sun doesn't shine.

20 years experience and I will tell you this. What works for one does not always work for the other.

They may get similar results and have two completely different ways of doing things.

That is why a forum like this is good, you get quite a few different views.

For myself as I said. I do articles probably on a weekly basis and if its a blog for affiliate links a lot of times I don't update till I see my rankings going down.

I do believe everyone will agree, that if you post the best unique and relevant content that is pleasing to the customer or as most call them visitors then you will be okay.

You need to define what you mean by the 'Make Money Online' niche.

For example Internet Marketing is a subniche of this - then you have List Building, Traffic, CPA, blogging, affiliate marketing, video marketing, Facebook etc. etc.

For MMO niche, you can seeking blogs which have high traffic and related it and pay it for posting articles to them.
