Craigslist - Why Do You Have To Delete And Repost Some Ads?

I have a round of ads being posted every 48 hours or so in two accounts.

Usually I can renew all of them but sometimes I have to delete and re-post others (even though it has been over 48 hours and posted within seconds of other ads that I was able to renew.)

The option to renew is simply not there.

Does anyone know why this might be?

Does this mean that they are getting flagged by competitors or Craigslist staff?

Any insight appreciated!

    I don't think CL goes by minutes, I think they round up/down in some increment (15 or 30 minutes), you might have to wait a few minutes. Or else a particular ad might have reached the limit for renewals.

    After 30 days you can't renew ads.

    If your ad was flagged, it would just get removed from the site.

    I have noticed that too and I don't worry about it, I just delete my ads and repost all.
    My large campaigns are done by a craigslist posting service anyways.

    It doesn't bother me to repost because I use pictures. I make the ad then I take a screenshot. I name them different and then when I post again I just change the name of the image again.

      I know this post is old but I just wanted to say that for anyone who is still trying to figure this out craigslist has changed their rules listed on their site and it says any posts that are older than 30 days will no longer give you the ability to renew them after 48 hours so if you need to renew your ad or post you would then need to delete it and create a new one again with the same info and pictures used. I know it's kind of silly and ridiculous but that is the way they are doing it these days.

    This usually happens when you are using different ips every time to renew ads.. You can avoid this by using same native local IP & PC to post and renew.. I hope this will help..

    Maybe I'm late to the party... But I wanted to say that CL's rules are changing so fast...
    And keep in mind if you are posting from the same IP they might be watching your ads closely and it's probably pre-flagged....

    Meaning that they could be reviewing your ads because they are coming constantly from 1 IP address...

    You gotta be careful with that...
