Should I quit collages?

So i've been making collages for quite some time now, my mom thinks I'm a natural - but it really gets in the way of my Internet Marketing.

Should I stop making collages so I can focus more time on my IM business?

    It's up to you. If you think you can benefit with your collages, just try sticking to it. But if you don't want to do collaging anymore, just move on and do some IM stuff . Once again, it's up to you.

    Art requires praise for us to keep going, if you think your work is being appreciated and you can use your work to contribute to the world and your inner artist, then keep doing it, if not then we all have to face the harder decision and make money over other things lol.

    And if its just a hobby, then keep doing it, I wouldn't quit playing basketball or going to the gym because it gets in my way of Internet Marketing.

    And on another note, I like this thread many fellow socal Inland Empire

    I'm feeling the same right now.
    However, I don't want to let down my parents + a degree for future is definitely a plus.
    1 year to go and it's getting on my way on every single way. I'm feeling that I'm letting my IM journey down, but I worked hard throughout the summer + I'll be trying to put 1-2 hours a day to IM as well so after I have graduated I could fully work on IM

    As the authors of established, accredited SEO textbooks have so consistently been pointing out since 2009, it's only a matter of time before collages become the specific target of a Google algorithm update. Don't let people tell you otherwise. Even the members here promoting collage-based services in their signature-files are living in great trepidation of the inevitable happening, and all their clients' sites being de-indexed. They're not looking forward to having to promote videos and linkwheels instead, to earn their crust of Parisian baguette with lightly salted Normandy butter and a glass or two of Puligny Montrachet, but it will come. Maybe not in the Poodle update, maybe not in the Porcupine update, but in the Pelican update, if not before. You can rely on it. Stop now, before your sites get into deep trouble.

    Take my tip: you'll be much better off with some nice, subtle, sophisticated abstract expressionism instead. Yellow-boy Cutts likes that, and says so openly on videos and in interviews.

      The thing is collage quitting experts don't know nothing about IM. Especially, when the OP is focusing on search traffic. Let me clear that for you.

      OP: Hey, I want to quit college. I'm currently making $15k through internet marketing.
      College quitting expert: Wow, that's a lot of money. Do you think you can scale it up and college is being a disturbing factor?
      OP: Yeah, if I make 10 more sites than I could make $100k per month. It's scalable business and I need to invest my time in there.
      College quitting expert: WOW. Is it long-term? Can you make this money in the next 5 years aswell?
      OP: Sure! It's a no-brainer.
      College quitting expert: Are you passionate about it?
      OP: Hell yeah!
      College quitting expert: OK, go ahead.

      However, I don't know what methods or how is the OP making money online right now. If it's something long-term and you believe you can make the same amount of money (or more) in the next following years without being scrubbed/penalized/bankruptcy then yeah.

      To sum it up, IMHO asking this kind of advice from people who have been there/done that/failed/succeeded is the most appropriate thing right now.

    You should keep at it. Maybe someday you will create your very own Internet Marketing Collage. Just don't wait too long before buying all the domains for "InternetMarketingCollage" because then someone reading this might take them all and force you to spend $1000's

    Besides, just think of what an internet marketing collage would be worth.

      Some did - but there are so many threads with typos/misspellings in their titles/posts, and to be fair English isn't everyone's first language. And people reply without reading the threads, sometimes looking only cursorily at the OP. "Go figure".

      I agree 100% AA. I also believe college should be fun. At the same time one should study hard and get a good education. As far as IM goes. The OP should have fun with that also.

        Ragnar, you have to keep in mind that many of those posters aren't really interested in reading or particiapating in discussions. They're here to skim the headlines, make a hanful of quick posts to drop their sigs in popular threads, and move on to the next forum on their marketing list.:rolleyes:

        Does that "unconfuddle" you? (Love the word, btw. As good as "flustrated", which I first heard after moving to rural Nebraska many years ago.)

          I guess it makes sense, in a way. But I always figured it would be bad for your reputation and decrease sales or clicks on sig links if you come off as spammy in all your replies... I guess it's a matter of perspective.

          If you take the time to make a truly insightful comment on a popular thread, or pay enough attention that you know which ones that will be popular, wouldn't that be a better strategy?

          I've never heard of flustrated before, that's a good one..

      My comment was based on a rant someone else posted about not asking for collage advice on an IM forum. According to that post, if you want collage advice, go to a career counselor since all the IMers are only in it for the money and most Warriors don't make any (and I assume that all collage/career advisors do it out of the goodness of their hearts). :rolleyes:

    I finally figured it out. OP is actually Jean Claude Van Damme. In one of those Expendables flicks his character told the good guys: "Don't cha-LANGE me!" So there it is. He probably doesn't want to be cha-LANGED with col-LAGE and just wants to continue with IM. You go for it, buddy. Why he's even thinking about gonig back to college is beyond me.

    Anyway, I cha-LANGE all you IMers who think he's spoofing college/collage. C'mon! He's clearly talking college here!

      I thought you'd never ask, Jeff. Ok, thank you - and you? I didn't get a PhD today or even a Master's, but I did manage to glue some newspaper clippings, ribbons, and slivers of various tweedy materials on to a canvas-board, so I suppose the day wasn't entirely a waste.

    NO.

    Transfer to an IM collage that gives you credits; then you swap the credits, to cash out.
